this song makes me sad when i'm happy & sader when i'm already sad...but still it's a g8 song. the emotion of regret in the lyrics is so authentic that i think a lot of us can relate to it..

I was stunned when I heard the 'No One Is Really Beautiful' CD when it arrived in the UK in '98, especially this track, which like many other people, cuts to the soul by telling 'my' (our) story... the guy should have been huge - the next CD I heard seemed a bit 'corporate', maybe I need to see what he's up to now - I'd like to have him around. Get that CD if you can - an if there's a video of him doing 'Rick James' anywhere... I'd love to see that!
It is the story of my life. I was (am?) in love with my best friend who got married in 2002. I was at the airport about to leave for her wedding weekend when I chickened out. I called her from the airport telling her that it would be too hard to see her marry somebody else when I loved her so much.
It's still hard knowing she's married to someone else, but, yeah it would have killed me to watch the ceremony.
