Basset hound Bath time

Ok when I bath my dog its like a wrestling match and a track meet just to catch him and wrestle him into the bath. Then there is about an 80% chance of a soapy get away. I applaud you and your dog. Seeing this gives me hope. Just too cute!

I have a male and a female bassett. The male loves baths, but you have to throw the female in the tub and hold her down. Funny how some love baths and others dont.

My basset hates going in lakes and puddles but whenever someone says they are going for a bath/shower he wags his tail and follows them to the bath room :) x.

This is PRECIOUS! Our baby basset HATES baths, but loves getting in the shower after we're finished. She's currently jumping on me "talking" to me and begging me to get her a treat. Bassets make the world a brighter place!!

LMAO mine did the same. As soon as she escaped the bath tub there was no stopping her. I couldn't even dry her off. She'd bolt around the house from room to room moaning and rolling on the floor. And getting her into the bath tub in the first place was an epic battle.

I taught her to sit up by using her favorite food.

First, I taught her to sit down,then I hold her paw to support and showed her favorite food.

She became to stand up by herself gradually : )

Maybe your doggy can beg by using `paw` command.
