  • I want to buy it but is it true that the sieve issues after a while (get broken)?

    Thanks

  • @tiatdivad Before changing the machine, you can check if the place you bought it from offers the sieve upgrade kit. The new Omega VRT 350 for example has this new sieve. Basically said, it is possible to upgrade your hurom as to where you are then with the same sieve and results as with the VRT 350. It shouldnt cost more that $40 Im guessing. Send us a private mail here with your email address and we will send you the link showing you exactly what the upgrade kit is. Keep juicing! :-)

  • @tiatdivad Do you have the white sieve or the new (see through) yellow sieve? The new sieve has a larger port outlet hole for this particular reason. One other thing you can do to help avoid this is to cut the celery into little pieces. This will shorten the fibers. If you are juicing something else with the celery such as carrots (hard vegetable), try to mix it up - some celery then some carrots. The harder veggies help push the fiberous stuff through the port.

  • @tiatdivad When you say blockage, do you mean the outlet hole located at the bottom of the sieve or do you mean that the machine stops turning (motor clicking). In either case, you are feeding the machine too much/too fast. You need to let it work. The machine is self feeding so there is no need to push the fruits/veggies down the chute if this is the case. It would be interesting to know what you are juicing when you have blockage. Please remember to mix your hard/soft fruits when juicing.

  • thanks for the vid.

so in conclusion did you fing that the low fat high sugar diet worked best for you?

  • @sammiedodgers high sugar low fat at the moment. I'm always up for trying new things though...

  • I really enjoyed watching you use your machine, that was so neat to me, I appreciate you sharing this video.

  • the upgrade kit is on our page at eujuicers(dot)com under spare parts but you might want to contact the place where you bought yours to see if they offer this yet. When I do a lot of greens especially celery I get blockage sometimes. The new Hurom already comes with the upgrade kit.

  • Did you get any blockage of the pulp when making this video? There is a new sieve upgrade kit available and this has gotten rid of this blockage problem by making the ejection port in the sieve a bit bigger and slanting it as well, making the ejection process much smoother. In addition, they have made the holes in the sieve a bit smaller, giving you a thinner juice (less pulp) thus giving you more juice yield as well.

  • @euJUICERScom I do get blockage and i wasn't aware of an upgrade kid. tell me more

  • how are you doing with eating fats? i'm curious where you heard it was a better fuel source? all the sources i've been reading lately have said to limit fats, so i'm a little confused

  • @joyinc30 There are two schools of thought in the raw community. The high fruit low fat diet and the low sugar high protien and fat. I have tried both and generally stick to the fruit diet. There are a bunch of people that swear by the low sugar diet as well. I'm sure it would work if i gave it more than a week to adjust.

  • @RawFoodVeganSungazer who are the ones advocating high protein and fat? I'd love to read the other side :) All I ever hear is high fruit, low fat

  • @joyinc30 Brian Clement from hipocrities and dr. robert young who wrote the ph miracle ... Both are such excellant dr's... look them up on youtube as well

  • @RawFoodVeganSungazer thanks! i've heard of brian clement, but not the other guy :) i'll check him out!

i tend to feel really crappy on too many fats... how did you find it?

  • @joyinc30 Well. If i eat fat and sugar it gives me BAD gas. Fats without the sugar is decent for me. I felt good, except my energy was way down. People say it goes down for a week or more and then shoots threw the roof. I have only gone one week without any fruit and my energy never picked up. The cravings for the fruit sugar is what was really strong

  • @RawFoodVeganSungazer me too! thanks for sharing your experiences, i think i've still go some experimenting to do :)

  • The "juiceman" juicer elderly man blocked me because I made a comment that the Hurom is a better juicer because it doesn't kill the enzymes with high heat generated by his centrifugal juicer. The fact that he blocked me simply indicates that he isn't interested in what is healthiest, but what makes the most money for his pocket!

  • @markpianoman So true... I used the centrifugal for a long time and the slow juicers are such better quality and produce way more juice,

  • @RawFoodVeganSungazer It was Jay Kordisch "juicedaddy" or "juiceman" or blocked me because he didn't like me praising the Hurom juicer over his centrifugal juicer.

  • Doesnt wheat grass contain alkaloids? i dunno if it's safe to drink it everyday

  • @namedecided Wheat grass is the most nutritious drink. Cows eat grasses all day every day.

  • Great vid! I noted that you wrote you wouldn't be stuffing yourself with protein. It's worth noting that many leafy greens have good amounts of amino acids. According to Victoria Boutenko you can get all the protein you need from leafy greens. A herb book I have talks about how some greens have up to 40% protein! All of it bioavailable. Awesome! Have a great day. xx

  • @RawPleasureAustralia I believe i can get all my protein for fruits. I do a wide range of raw foods though.

  • I rather use a good blender to get everything in instead of wasting all that fiber and nutrients.

  • @EMDANAL With juicing you can get more nutrients. If you blend, the fiber with make you full to fast. Fiber has no nutritional value. Digestion is one of the most energy draining processes on the body and most food we eat goes to that process. Since juicing requires such little digesting(pre-digested), It's a powerful source of energy.

  • The Juiceman trademark is no longer owned by Jay Kordich so when you buy a Juiceman juicer Jay gets no financial benefit so don't worry about it.

  • @nEWwORLDhOARDER Regardless of who owns Juiceman brand juicers, they're centrifugal juicers which destroy most of the nutrition in vegetables.

  • @ferretsrcrunchy I think you might be going a little over board with that statement. But I would have to agree that juice from the Hurom juicer is superior to juice from centrifugal juicers. It should be for the price! Hurom HU-100 Slow Juicer $359.00. JM300 Juiceman Jr. 2-Speed Electric Juicer $69.96.

  • you could have added green apple and mint to that to make it taste better :D

  • Question about your Juicer...

Hello, I am about to pull the trigger on getting the Huron Juicer and found your video on Youtube. Thanks for posting this... If I may ask, where did you get your juicer for $300. The cheapest I've found is $329 with shipping included.

I am on a fixed income so any money saved I can put towards Veggies...

Thanks in advance for fielding my question and best of luck with your health goals.

    Dennis

  • @JuiceRobot I got it as sort of a fluke. Another website was offering 13% off any of there products. I don't think that they were expecting me to get the Hurom with that discount. I saved almost 50$... They aren't having that promotion at the moment.

  • Oh lord, you juice without washing the greens?

  • @ferretsrcrunchy I pre-washed them before i shot the vid =) I'm am guilty of doing it on occasion though

  • silly me i watched these backwards! D=

  • I have the Hurom as well and love it! Love it!! If I find one thing, it is that sometimes some of the things I juice stay within the augur mechanism of the juicer even after it seems that everything is juiced through. Good luck with your feast! :) I will look forward to hearing how things go for you!

  • i wish eating healthy wasnt so expensive :(

  • @SirSpoon84 I think i'm eating for under 12-13$ A day. That is cheaper than fast food. :)

  • @RawFoodVeganSungazer Well I've found you can eat a burger at In n out twice a day for under 7 dollars, or at McDonalds for 3-4. I know you're vegan, and I wouldn't do that type of diet myself but it's not truthful to say a green diet is cheaper than fast food--green diets are notoriously expensive.

  • @ferretsrcrunchy I used to eat carls Jr. 2-3 times a day. I got the superstar meal. It was almost 5$ everytime i drove though. To me, It's not about the price, it's about the way I feel. What means more to EVERY HUMAN being on this planet than the way they feel everyday. I feel like a MILLION bucks.. please keep in touch

  • @ferretsrcrunchy You can spend what you want. Potatoes are 10 cents a pound dude.

  • @nEWwORLDhOARDER That was completely irrelevant.

  • @SirSpoon84 It's not. Veggies and fruits are 1-2$ a pound. Meat and dairy are 5$+ a pound.

  • Juice it!

    Thank you for sharing :)

  • you can do it! beautiful juicer :)

  • I can't believe how much juice you got and how little pulp you ended up with. Amazing. I use a Breville centrifugal juicer and it cost me about 275 bucks. I had never seen the one you have before. Wow. I usually use my vitamix to make my green smoothies everyday. Wouldn't that be better to get the whole leafy green into your body? That's what I have been told. Anyway, looking forward to seeing how you experiment turns out. BTW, which beach are you at?

  • @wondnaereh Yeah, the breville is WAY over priced. You can get the same yield juice with a 60$ juiceman juicer from target. That is what i was using before. Either way, juicing is where it's at. There are no nutrients in the fiber. Only the blood of the plant

  • @wondnaereh Yeah, the breville is WAY over priced. You can get the same yield juice with a 60$ juiceman juicer from target. That is what i was using before. Either way, juicing is where it's at. There are no nutrients in the fiber. Only the blood of the plant

  • @wondnaereh I'm in Newport beach. It's like living in Hawaii, but in california. The breville is a 1940's technology. The Hurom is the future of juicers... It juices greens and fruits. And it juices the greens fantastically. i juiced my first batch of wheat grass today. It had me flying higher than EVER!!!

  • oh ya....this guy is the man!
