ETID is so unappreciated because of these kids that think they're just another metal band. No one cares to look into the background of bands anymore or read into their music more.
I wouldn't consider ETID pure hardcore, but they sure are influenced by it. There are plenty of great hardcore bands that don't share such a big spotlight: Omegas, Plagues, Seizures, Punch, Torch Runner, etc.
@06a09 "takes a bow" why thank you thank you nothing against them for taking their names from a Cynic song "Veil of Maya" or making Meshuggah sound like wusses (Periphery) but if you are not gonna improve on the formula then sit back and let the REAL Meshuggah show you how it's done when they drop "Koloss"
@Projectrez oh definitely "Last Night In Town" was insanely heavy it's still one of my favorites i mean with songs like "Emergency Broadcast Syndrome", "Punch-Drunk Punk Rock Romance" (featuring Howard Jones from Blood Has Been Shed & Killswitch Engage) and of course "The Logic of Crocodiles" that was a ground breaking record for them and then "Hot Damn!" came in and it got catchier which made even more dangerous and then they stumbled a bit with "Gutter Phenom" but they got it back after that
lol they weren't heavy enough for Ozzfest?? really? whoever really said that should go outside and play hide and go fuck yourself. I saw ETID the first time ever at Ozzfest 04, and my god, you can't fuck with these guys...YOU CAN'T! Get raped by high voltage rock!
The song in the background is "Typical Miracle" which is track #4 off of their new record titled "Ex-Lives" and is due to be released on March 6, 2012.
@deathblaster their more southern hardcore. hardcore will never die. terror, cruel hand, lionheart, madball , so many hardcore bands will keep the scene alive
i can't wait for the new album! every time they bring out a new record i get so excited about what they're guna do... always ETID but heavy album? rocky album? fuckin' bad boys!
@kevinisginger I wouldn't say ALL deathcore was stupid, 19 year olds with XL basketball vests and throat tattoos I tend to stay away from, but there's some really good deathcore. Johnny Truant were sick
AMEN! that is why i have always stuck with E.T.I.D. they are not scene/hipsters they are the same now as they were before no body paint trying to look like "the new motley crue" or trying to sound like meshuggah's retarded cousin they sound just like they did on "Last Night In town" only way better!!!!
you cannot be too heavy for ozzfest, its impossible

I love this band. They've given me hope that the younger generation of kids who go to shows will decide to start playing good heavy music again.

ETID are still heavier than any band that plays warped tour, deathcore isn't heavy, it's stupid.
