(i'm 15 btw)....i was very very fortunate when my wisdom teeth were pulled out. the doctor said (to my father because I was too loopy) it was the easiest extractions he has ever done and the actual procedure was no more that 15 min. i actually got them out yesterday and so far the pain is not too intense. the only really bad part was heavy the bleeding the first 6 hours after the procedure.
I had one tooth taken out at it went bad, i was very unlucky as the root was hooked around my jaw bone so it took 12 injections and 1hr and 40 mins of pulling and twisting to get it out. I was so much pain as i had to have some bone chipped away to remove it. Glad to say that im fine now and hey it was worth it as there is no more pain at all now.
when i had my wisdoms out, all i remember is, talking about matilda, once they gave me laughing gas, so i was numb head to toe, then they put the iv cord in myarm, and talked about matilda, and the guyis like "the chockee was---" then i was ko'd lol then i woke up confused, and im like 5"7 and the lady trying to walk with me to the room behind where the produre was, was like 4"11 lol.. it was so weird, you cant even walk.
One thing I hated was waiting on the pills for pain.my mom went to get mine and it was packed i say having this done was the worst pain I went though it was so bad i was crying.

This is great! I just had mine out, friday! I had the iv sedation. I got to sleep and sleep, it was WONDERFUL. Then Saturday came around, and I had to get my 3 year old and my 1 year old from my Mom's. It's been pretty miserable since. Yeah.

swelling is natural and each individual swell in variable amounts, but some measures do help prevent and reduce it, some are before the surgery some during it and yet some after the surgery, please if your case is requires surgery, see a surgeon, complications are more difficult to treat, disabling and painful.

Ummm, It toke me over 1 week and a half before i could eat solid food that required chewing.. couldnt close my mouth for 2 weeks, and the pain went away after 1 week n some and bruising and swelling started 2 weeks after and gradually and i mean GRADUALLY (toke its danm time) faded over a week or so and to open my mouth completly toke a shitload of time too...so a month and you should be back to normal :) im perfect now haha.
you should be able to talk albeit slighty lispy sounding. drinking water you should have no problem after that many days (I was eating pudding and drinking yop 2 hours after my surgery). If you are worried, go see the doctor.. doesnt hurt to just go ask..unless you live in the US and dont have healthcare like us Canadians do :). But yeah, you SHOULD therorectically be able to drink/talk at this point.

I got mine out 5 days ago...i was in Lala land during the operation and dont remeber ANYTHING for 2 hours afterwards even (probably asleep) I was awake during and afterwards, I talked and everything.. but i dont remeber doing it.

when i got mine done, they gave me this green sedative you drink, then when that started working they gave me an iv.
it didn't suck at all.
