  • this is cool. I'd like to make a model of my house down to scale one day.

  • this is freakin awesome

  • Dude you went way toooooooooooo FAST for me !!

  • Beast i tell you

  • wow it would take me at least a day or so to build a home model

  • Nice man I'm getting a set like that from Edmund scientific and the house u.can build is huge

  • i say WOW

  • Nice you did a model in just 1:20 min.

  • The song sounds similar to the theme song from Snatch.

  • this is kinda shit since i have an ipad 2 with a cool program called home design 3d... its easyer, precise... like 2000000% faster and funnyer... there is also a pc version more complete... the ipad version is so easy that u can finish house in les than 5 hours with precise window, door and walls measures....

  • fuk that's mad :)

  • How long did it take u to finish the whole house?

  • Awesome

  • All of the materials in this model are the poster-board sheets that are included in the 3-D Home Kit. No chipboard was used.

  • did you use chipboard for this model?

  • Thank you.

  • each 3-d home kit sheet is 12 inches by 18 inches. since many vendors sell the kit it can be delivered in various size boxes.

  • In the* mail

  • How big is box when you get iron the mail?

  • yes, 1/4-inch scale equals 1:48

  • 1/4 Inch scale is 1:48, right?

  • Cool house, check out mine.

  • thats soo cool

  • that is too cool!

  • you can use foam core boards to add thickness and stiffness to the walls (both interior and exterior), roof, and floors. but, for the model shown in this video, i only used the 3-D Home Kit materials, which consists of poster-board sheets, not foam core board. if you decide to use the foam core board, 1/8 thick board would be about right in that it is 6-inches thick in 1/4-inch scale, which is the scale of the kit. (you can purchase the 3-D Home Kit by searching for it online.)

  • what is that foam core

  • which materials did you use for exterior walls?

  • i used the 3-d home kit sheets of siding for the exterior walls. (these are the two white sheets with the parallel lines about 4 to 6 inches apart in 1/4-inch scale.) unfortunately, you can't see the lines in the video, but they look real good on the model. these sheets can be used to show wood, vinyl, metal, hardiplank, clapboard or log siding.

  • ok u gotta go slow 1st

  • google "3d home kit" and you will find several companies that sell this kit for about $30. the kit works great with the "home quick planner", which you can also find for sale online by searching on google. you can design your own floor plan with the home quick planner and then build a three-dimensional model of your dream home with the 3d home kit. these are great tools for future architects, engineers and designers. some companies offer a good discount when you buy the two products together.

  • please tell me were u got that pack from and how much it costs to make i want to be an architect when im older so i think i willl nedd something like that

  • wats the kit called and where did you get it from?

  • woooooow nice

  • mouse house ;)

  • dont u mean cut the elevations, if u cut the floorplan it would look nothing like that lol

  • O.o WOW...

  • holy crap

  • wow i remember those days, when i was making models in my archietectural class! nice home, ima make me some more :)

  • wat kind of paper or cardboard did ya use for the walls?

  • all of the kit model building sheets are printed on poster-board. it's sturdy enough to last for years and easy to cut or bend. each model sheet has an illustration of a building material printed on one side and a 1/4-inch grid printed on the other side; the grid makes it easier to build your model of your own house and the illustrations give the finished model realistic detail. it's hard to see in the video, but this house model has clapboard siding.

  • ooh i see...so it comes tgt wif the kit...i tot they didnt come tgt wif the kit...if it wasnt in the kit i cud get it outside n buy some for my assignment but thks anywae! : )

  • wow clean cuts and Quick!! how long it took to build this?

  • after i had the house designed, it took about 10 hours to build the model.

  • dude thanks! i bought the kit, then after i built it, i did my neighbors MANISION with card board! it worked great!

  • great

  • fun

  • where can i buy one of those/??

  • Google "3D Home Kit" for purchasing information.
