The lyrics were shocking, but helped show a figurative meaning to the piece. The robot is satan or a "false idol". The children are attracted by the new "evils" of math, begin role playing as fantastical characters, and then they are introduced to their new deity - the robot. The children are then worshipping the robot, and then pay for what they do. However, they fight back against their controllers, and gain freedom and wisdom. They then go out to explore the world.
