If the Mother series got a remake with 3D models or a 4th game then it would be a bit saddening because Mother seems to be complete when viewed as a trilogy. A Mother Collection for the 3DS would do justice especially with updated sprites and music just like FinalFantasyIV complete.

I think the Mother series as a whole should get one huge reset button and start a whole new trilogy, perhaps either on WiiWare or on the eShop. Fine, we all want Mother 3, but that game is from 2006 (which could eventually end up in the eShop anyway) and we need a new game that not only caters the Japanese audience, but also accounting the Americans as well. Who knows? This is just wishful thinking...

@JETZacx The only thing that Earthbound failed in (in America) was marketing. If it was marketed as well as most other nintendo games today, it could be as big, or bigger, than even pokemon.

Shigesato Itoi must have an amazing imagination to make the MOTHER series. What the world has now is 3 amazingly underrated games that should be up there with the Mario games, the Zelda, games, the Pokemon series, and more. But instead, what we have is a stubborn North American video game company that won't give their fans what they want. You know who I'm talking about.
