That was huge with alot of uk punk bands and euro punks around 1980 to 1984 it kinda came back here in socal after y2k for a while just about anyone with a mohican was doing it. I prefer a thicker charged out mohawk lile the bass player from exploited used to rock in the early 80s alot of the finnish and swedish punks ie moderat likvidation, kaAos and tampere ss rocked that! I'm not too into street punk anymore, but i still dress according the music i listen to. Its a social thing. As much as anyone denies it, punx is fashion, but not just fashion. I hate people who think its super punk to not dress punk, and the only thing more punk than not dressing punk is not even listening to punk... and being a dick.
