  • GOAL

  • The puck never touched the guy. He missed it with his stick, he missed it with his right leg, and then he missed it with his left leg and the puck bounced into the net on its own. GOAL.

  • goal

  • no goal he ran to the net

  • he kicked it with his skate no goal

  • no goal

  • MATTHEW Lombardi? on the Leafs???? answer anyone?

  • Its a goal, at 0:42 you can see its in the net

  • goal

  • goal

  • He didn't touch that puck a all

  • I was so a goal he did not kick it it went off the goalie

  • you can clearly see him lift his foot up at 0:40 to hit the puck in but made it look accadental ..

  • i dont believe it was a goal because the player from the opposite team was in the net before the puck was, so it should have been called as goalie interfearance .. but on the other hand if he would have been able to stop before he entered the goal line, then i think it should have been a goal because he didnt hit the puck with the high stick so that wasn't an issue and if the puck hit the player and went in, .. as long as it wasn't intentional it is a fair goal. !!!

  • top coment says not to listen to hi

  • Goal

  • NO GOAL HIT HIS FOOT

  • Miss the wistle was heard

  • who cares besides BC fans?

  • It is written, only Link can do goals.

  • Those fucking faggot referees. It was a fucking goal

  • goal

  • goal

  • no it was in and the goalie took it out

  • HE'S*

  • NO GOAL, HES USE THE FOOT

  • goal

  • no goal kicked it in

  • Goal... it would've been goal if he didnt touch the puck so in that case and he didn't even kick, so in that case clearly goal.

  • no goal.

  • It went across the goal line, but I think his stick was high and he might have kicked it. So I'd call it no goal.

  • Goal Because-

    1. The puck is in the net.

    2. Player tried to swat it in, but missed. Foot contact was incidental/accidental.

    3. No distinct "kicking motion", his foot sideways because he was stopping, not kicking forward towards the goal.

    4. No conclusive evidence to the contrary.

It's a tough call either way, really you have to just accept whatever the ref called on the ice.

  • no goal! he kicked!

  • i think its goal 0:38 i dont think he kicked it in thumbs up if u think the same !!!!!

  • goal

  • there was no kicking motion involved, so i think its a goal but this is a hard one.

  • can't tell

  • goal even though it hit off his foot he never made a kicking motion

  • goal

  • i dont know how a person can be a hockey comentator nobody can see the puck!

  • this ones a tough one...i would say its a goal though, because the rules say that its only no goal if the player advertently kicks it in or turns their foot to redirect it on net....and this one it looked like he tried to swat the puck into the net but missed and happened to go off his foot...

  • Its a goal. Anyone saying he kicked it in or that he touched it is retarded. the puck clearly goes through his legs and never touches his skate. FUCK EVERYONE WHO SAYS HE KICKED IT

  • @ogkush1000 yep, and it doesnt even matter if it touches coz he didnt KICK it.

  • Goal is good. I didn't see a kicking motion at all. It just bounce off its skate without him kciking it.

  • It was a goal. No kicking motion. You are allowed to skate into the puck. Do you realize how hard it is to power stop right in front of the puck and catch the goalie unaware? It is almost never intentional. If it were, why wouldn't he just use his stick or slide into it.

He tried to use his stick, tried to stop, it went off him and in. Good Goal. Ignore the top comments, they are wrong.

  • @DJK290 Wait. . . If I ignore the top comments . . . then do I ignore yours?

    BRAIN F***

  • @DJK290 yes, top comments are totaly wrong

  • Goal because it was not intentional so their was no kicking motion

  • Goal. Who cares if it goes off your body? Keith Tkachuk scored off his face. It doesn't have a kicking motion so its clean. What, he's supposed to stop at the hash-marks and slowly skate in to make sure it doesn't get pushed in by his body? Whether it was intentional or not to use his speed to bounce it in, there's no kicking motion so he scored within the rules.

  • This is a no-goal. I am a referee and here is the reasoning why it is a no goal. You guys are focused too much on the skate and if it hit the skate...why not look at the players body. The player used his body (and speed) to propel the puck into the net. This is automatically a no goal. He impeded the goalies path to the puck while using his body to put the puck into the net...this is why the was deemed a no goal

  • @DaveAngus4lyfe

I'm a referee too and I think your reasoning doesn't make sense. Players score off body parts all the time. He is allowed to, provided there is no kicking motion. Furthermore, he made no contact with the goalie and so therefore you cannot say he committed a goalie interference.

But I guess that's why it is controversial, everyone has a different view. Cheers.

  • @DaveAngus4lyfe

Furthermore, if he hadnt stopped, he would have been clotheslined from the crossbar, which makes no sense. he tried to whack with his stick and missed, and he stopped to avoid the incoming crossbar and it went in.

  • it depends on the ref because the ref could have said that the player kicked it in but in reality, the player would have had to stopped in order to not clobber the net so when the puck went off the leg it wasn't on purpose therefore it was a GOAL

  • Goal

  • no goal, the player kicked it in, if u stop it at 0:42 the puck is in but earlier, the player kicked it. thumbs up if u think im right

  • @JohnnyRocks89 the kick was unintentional so it is a good goal only if there is a kicking motion is a no goal he slid into the puck

  • @JohnnyRocks89 thumbs up if you think this kid is a F*G

  • @JohnnyRocks89 no you're not right, if it hits your skate by accident it can be a goal, here it just bounced of his skate, which is allowed

  • @JohnnyRocks89 thats not a distinct kicking motion....learn the rules.

  • @JohnnyRocks89 I disagree :O looks like a deflection to me

  • @JohnnyRocks89 you technically cant call that a distinct kicking motion his foot was that way to stop not to kick the puck in

  • @JohnnyRocks89 He didn't mean to kick it in though...

  • @JohnnyRocks89 you are wrong though, he inadvertently hit it in with his foot, he was stopping and it bounced off, however, if he made a kicking motion, it would be no goal. It indeed was the wrong call.

  • No goal, he can't skate into the puck to get it in, the second his skate touched the puck while flailing like he was means it no longer matters if it was going to on in anyway.

The puck can bounce off the scate/leg, but you can't kick it in.

  • Yea its hard to tell but I think GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!!!!!!1

  • goal

  • goal

  • it's a no goal

  • @TheCirrius45 The ref can only change the call if their is conclosiff (if thts how u spell it) evidence of the puck going into the net. If they cannot find any evidence of the puck crossing the line, the call stands as what the ref initially called it. Thats how it works

  • it's a goal

  • that was totally a goal, because the player completely whiffed it with his stick and skate it went in by itself between the player's legs (look closely)

  • it didnt look like a goal but that was close... it looked like it deflected backward from the players skate but again that was a close call!!

  • If the ref says no goal, then its no goal. Not one day in history, has a Hockey ref changed his mind about a call

  • @BMXERLMAO101 no shit it counts as no goal but that doesnt mean it really wasnt a goal i think it was a goal

p.s the reff isnt allowed to change his mind after a call

  • player was in the crease before the puck crossed the line. no goaaaaaaaaaal

  • yes the goaly put it in with his stick

  • no

  • NOPE

  • goaltender interference. he kept mr goalie from moving across the crease. other than that itd be in

  • goal..

  • but gol !

  • its goal

  • no goal cuz' it was high sticking!

  • @bananaburps Actually, Thats supposed to be a delayed penalty. If it was in, it should of counted as a goal, and the other team would still get the powerplay.

  • @bananaburps he touched the puck when it was practically on the ground, 1 foot is high sticking?

  • kicking motion is the only argument you could make..

  • off his skate. No goal

  • @buttkick22 it can go off a skate and in as long as there is no distinct kicking motion...which there wasnt so it was a goal

  • @McGrathsChannel thats in the NHL. Don't think that applies to college. Unless they changed it on college too but i don't think they did. I could be wrong

  • @buttkick22 oh, i always thought they had the same rules but i guess i was wrong :p

  • gool and go eagles hockey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • goalll

  • GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • Seal!

  • tht was a goal it went passed the line barley

  • goal!!! 0:43

  • Everyone, there is a different rule for college hockey. You don't need a kicking motion. If a puck goes off a skate and in it's a no-goal. That is the rule for college... Whether or not it is a kicking motion is irrelevant.

  • No in!

  • 249 people actually like vermont...

  • no goal kicked in

  • @DawsonEastToWest

Learn what a kicking motion is.

  • @xShivvy it was a kcking motion watch it cloosly he sees he misses it with his stick so he drags the side of his foot along and kicks it in

  • goal

  • goal

  • no goal

  • GOAL

  • no goal

  • I'm not even sure that it hit the kids skate, you can see it bounce and trickle slightly over the line, if he had hit it purely with his skate, the puck would be in the back of the net for sure

  • kicking motion!!!!

  • @goaldude101 he didn't touch it.

  • goal

  • THAT WAS IN BARLY PAST THE LINE!!!

  • how is that not a goal at 0:34 or 0:35 you can see the puck go over the line a tiny bit

  • it is a goal

  • Lombardi's stick is about 3 feet above the crossbar, look at the video at about 0:20. Call on the Ice was dead right... no goal.

  • @dunewizard wrong, because it was a swinging down motion when he made contact with the puck it was underneath the crossbar. don't try and judge it.

  • @Diversitial lolwut? u can swing however u want as long as u dont make contact over the crossbar.

he made contact far below it

  • @b2theec lol i retract my statement. HE DIDNT EVEN TOUCH IT WHAT A BAD CALL

  • @b2theec with his skate

  • KICK GOAL

  • no goal, to bad for bc

  • good goal the stick was below the crossbar and although the puck was not on the crease it was over the crease. so i've never heard of a deflection in the crease be called no goal cuz the puck was "over th e crease.

  • no i am a reff and like 4cjaiser said the puck dnt to;uch the paint befroe he was in it

  • no goal ^^

  • no he was in the goalies box when it was scored that should not be counted as a goal!

  • no goal

  • The puck went in towards the left side of the net with his foot, no kicking motion, and he was in the crease but did not interfer with the goaltender and let him/her move freely.
