You know, this is a very satisfying ending to me. Sure, it's completely morbid and makes my skin crawl to an extent, but I'm glad Rose has a Doctor and part of the Doctor has Rose. I just...feel bad for the original.

I watched this episode last night on BBC America and they completely butchered the episode! It was so awful there were so many scenes they deleted to make room for the commercials! The worse thing they did though was they cut off half of this scene! Including the kiss!. It ended right when he says "I could spend my ife with you if you want" and it went to commercial and when it came back the Doctor and Donna were in the tardis. I was so upset they ruined the whole ep with all the stuff they cut!

How sad is it that people who just watch it on tv get it hacked that bad, and may think that is how the epidsode is suppose to be! @SAPPHiiRExo2 This is the the last time that Rose sees our doctor. Rose is seen again in the end of time when the doctor goes back in time to 2005 which is right before Rose meets the 9th doctor to say goodbye before he regenerates so she doesn't know him yet. In the end I am almost glad that this happened this way now sice the doctor regenerated, and she loved this doctor I am not sure she would be compatable with the 11th doctor anyway so in the end I think it worked out for the best for her.
I understand that the Rose story had to end ,cuz the Doctor story needs to be ongoing and it can't just be stuck on one companion(although I would have loved it to) ,but it's so hard to watch this and know that the doctor is giving up the person he cared most about. It's like he knows that this way at least a part of him can realize his dream.

So sad and also so happy ending. I feel sorry 4 the real doctor who will live alone without Rose - but it´s grate that Rose still has the "human doctor". Sad but grate. Just have to love it, I didn´t cry in happy endings (I´m not the romantic crying type of girl... It depends...) but I do cry if a persone like dies in a movie or just dissapears and never will come back again. So I didn´t cry in this one, but the tears was near : ) Just lovely <3
I remember when I first watched this episode, I was round a friends house, and everyone was real tense, holding their breath, and as soon as Rose kissed the doctor my friends mother walked in, pointed at the screen and shouted "BITCH!" then just walked out again. Totally ruined the moment ¬_¬
I am in tears. I love this scene and I am glad she was with him in the end, but I really wanted her to kiss the real Doctor. It must have been heartbreaking (x2) for him to watch that. I don't think that you could ever get a better combination then David Tennant and Billie Piper. You never know rose might come back in series 6 (hopefully).

I think this is a plot device. David is one of the most popular doctors ever. This is so that David can stay in the show even as he ages as this human doctor.
@cloneavenger I agree on that. I've seen alot of the other old Dr.Who's and a few of the 11, and i gotta say that David's is the strongest and most dynamic doctor of the whole lot. He can portray such strong, raw emotion and yet still look completely in control....he is an amazing actor and played an amazing Doctor!
it's so sad this scene because you have to feel bad for the doctor yet feel happy for rose and the second doctor she'll be happy while he ends up alone

The end of this episode was heartwrenching. The Doctor drops everyone off, one by one, and everyone has someone to go home to except him. He always ends up alone.
I get tears in my eyes every time I watch this. It's so bittersweet. Rose gets to spend her life with the doctor, but he's not the real doctor even if he is (mentally and appearance wise) exactly the same, and the other doctor goes off and is alone again with really no chance of ever seeing Rose again, and it's just so freaking sad.
It's so painful to watch this because the original Doctor knows that this is the closest thing he and Rose could ever have to being together; but, you can see how sad he is when Rose kisses the human doctor. bloody heartbreaking.
quite right. if you all recall, the ood said previously his song was ending soon. remember how rose reacted to seeing him regenerate? it broke her heart. now, imagine if he regenerated again with her now that the doctor is an over caffeinated mad weirdo, she would have been destroyed. and seriously, compare 11 to 9 and 10, it's not even comparable. in fact, it's a joke. now imagine if rose comes back briefly in series 6 and meets 11, i am sure she will even more grateful for who she has.

I don't think Rose will be making anymore appearances though, because she did stay for 2 seasons, adding on the however many episodes she guest starred in. She was great, and we all loved her, but after her being on the show for such a long time, she's kind of extended her stay.

In the deleted scenes, Doctor 1 gives Doctor 2 a piece of TARDIS coral and instructions on how to grow a TARDIS so he and Rose can travel the stars together. RTD says that even though the scene was cut, fans should consider that it happened off-screen, and that he and Rose will be traveling the universe together.
The Doctor never learned how to grow one----he stole it, remember? Donna was the one who discovered how to grow one with her newfound Timelord intellect.
this means the daleks will come back because the doctor had to go through the void to take rose back and the daleks could escape from the void from the end of season 2
Rose finally got her Doctor, but he didn't get his Rose.

quite right. if you all recall, the ood said previously his song was ending soon. remember how rose reacted to seeing him regenerate? it broke her heart. now, imagine if he regenerated again with her now that the doctor is an over caffeinated mad weirdo, she would have been destroyed. and seriously, compare 11 to 9 and 10, it's not even comparable. in fact, it's a joke. now imagine if rose comes back briefly in series 6 and meets 11, i am sure she will even more grateful for who she has.

@bobbyrnz I disagree, I love the new doctor. Obviously, if they met, she wouldn't even know it was him, because she hasn't seen the new doctor.

@Kelly6758 i take back what i previously said. i suppose i just needed more time to get used to matt smith. to be honest, i think he's awesome. and i now wish she would come back to meet 11. odd though, when the doctor left sarah, she didn't come back until after like 34 years or something like that. i hope we do not have to wait that long to see rose again. but ya, as i said, i take back what i said. the new doctor's awesome. i just miss rose.

@bobbyrnz I understand that. I love Amy though, and Rory. I don't think Rose will be making anymore appearances though, because she did stay for 2 seasons, adding on the however many episodes she guest starred in. She was great, and we all loved her, but after her being on the show for such a long time, she's kind of extended her stay.

@bobbyrnz I'm not saying it wouldn't be great to see her and the 11th doctor meet (Well, Billie and Matt had a scene together in "Diary of a Call Girl"), but bringing her back would kind of defeat the purpose of such a strong and emotional goodbye.

@Kelly6758 ya, i suppose you may be right. i guess seeing as how rose was my first companion and knowing how much impact she had, i guess the whole thing has kind of stuck to me.

Billie piper got plastic surgery done on her face, she looked so much better before

No she didn't. She got plastic surgery on her teeth. She wanted them straightened and whitened.

In the deleted scenes, Doctor 1 gives Doctor 2 a piece of TARDIS coral and instructions on how to grow a TARDIS so he and Rose can travel the stars together. RTD says that even though the scene was cut, fans should consider that it happened off-screen, and that he and Rose will be traveling the universe together.

this means the daleks will come back because the doctor had to go through the void to take rose back and the daleks could escape from the void from the end of season 2
