@mbm13213 I have to say, I enjoyed reading your little comments. They're quite clever. You also filled my inbox too, but that's not a complaint. Good work, man.
Why doesnt danzig make horrorpunk anymore.. all this slow shit.. I liked it when he was with Samhain.. but after that he only has a few songs i like.. everything else is shit.
@mayflyforyou That itself being a reworking and/or tribute to How Many More Years by Howlin' Wolf (who happens to be a big influence on Glenn). The song The Hunter was written by Booker T. and the MG's and performed by Albert King w/ Booker T. and the MG's. The first band to cover it was the English band Free. I guess Zepp heard it from them.
@mayflyforyou Your welcome. I tend to be a nerdy walking encyclopedia sometimes. lol Now that I think about it Danzig must have credited himself on this song to be ironic about Page claiming he wrote it. Maybe.
yes its the same song essentialy as bo diddleys original but as whith most blues songs artist would rerecord material dig deep enough and youll see zeppelin as well as bad company did this same song
"When I get ahold of you honey, rip you up to pieces. Ain't no use to run, Babe. Ain't no use to hide. 'Cause I've got you in the grip of my endless desire" Ohhhh baaby :D
this is really like a cover of Bo Diddly's "hunter" if you listen to that version you will hear much of the lyrics are the same. If you listen to alot of blues you will begin to notice just how blues oriented Danzig really is.
its mad annoying how all these kids only listen to danzig because they think hes all about Satanism. Danzig is actually really educated and just has his own views and beliefs on how he lives. All these kids who only like him for his satanic songs are pussies. actually listen to the mans music. its phenomenal. and extremely bad-ass all at once =]! lol
all of you shut your faces. danzig is god, this song rapes

You have be believe in Christianity to be a Satanist...
MUSIC in itself is of "the Devil" if you listen to a lot of different crackpot religions...
Just shut up and enjoy the music... ;-)
DarthMorbius1977 1 year ago
Written by Steve Cropper and Donald Dunn (of Booker T and the MGs).

@rangderhs Correct. It really tripped me out when I heard the original on the radio; I had no idea this song was a cover.

@rangderhs A version of the original blues song was covered by Led Zep as well.

It's the same as The Misfits. They talk about "hacking heads off little girls" but it all has a deeper meaning.
