As A man staright from Ireland you've made me home sick looking at this wee place. I'm about to build my own bar and you've given me some great Ideas. Slainte Mo Chara.
Very nice. Anyone interested in finishing their own basement should check out our channel, ArmchairBuilder. We offer some great tips for planning, subcontracting, and scheduling the project. Take care.
amazing, awesome....this is incredible...respect. It must take a lot of time and effort. I´m doing something like this and i am at half of work. It was hard to get here but still got a lot to do. You gave me some ideas. Again, great job!
Im not trying to be nosy, but how much did this cost you...total? I am about to start my basement bar, and this is fantastic, im just not sure if its in the budget. Thanks!
Holy crap. Thats amazing!!! If I had that in my basement I wouldnt leave it. Actually thinking of doing a bar in my basement thats how I stumbled across this. I own 1 but even when I have a drink there Im still at work! It would be nice to have one I can relax in!!
@jkbnoble Thank you. The room is not that big only about 18 wide by about 28 long not including the laundry room. The bar, back bar, bathroom, laundry room were already finished as i completed them a few years ago. So pretty much about 7 1/2 months to complete.
@jag10 Thanks. I'm a jerk of all trades master of absolutely nothing. All the stain on the walls and trim is minwax polyshades bombay mahogany gloss, about 2-3 coats to get it dark then 2 coats of minwax helmsman spar urethane satin. As far as the "entrance" window and "outside" trim before you get "into the pub" is just a stealth black paint.
@testfoecho musta been a fun project, I've always considered building a home pub but we don't have the space, you should get a pool table in there. funny thing is though I actually live in ireland and no matter where I go in the world irish pubs always look just like yours lol but they don't look that way back here haha, again though amazin work, you should be proud!!
I would have died and gone to Heaven.
Man you made me so thirsty for a pint of Guinness ... and some fish and chips :P
