I tried a freeware version of this and when I started up the engines, they just cut off immediately after. Just wondering: is that supposed to happen? Do the Comet's engines just die if your throttles are set at idle speed? I got around it by keeping the throttle up a little bit, but that must be unnerving to new pilots, if their craft really does behave like that...

Well done.....I loved the music,,,,and I liked your video!! My Mother was a BOAC hostess in the late 40's and early 50's. I think my Mother took one Comet trip and was on the Connie from that moment on. Great video!

2. I see that the Avro Ashton still was in his prototype version, it flew nearly a year before the de Havilland Comet, BUT it represented an experimental programme and was NEVER intended for commercial use. So first commercial jet liner (in use) de havilland comet :)

Comet 1!? You know that airplane had terrible reliable... and crashed several times, but it is the longest and first running jet passenger plane,

I know, but it was the first ever flying Jet plane. And this model, don't download it, it flies horrible, it climbs bad, when you land, you mostly stall, and the engines fall out when your throttle goes to idle

But your wrong about the fact its the first Jet Plane the first jet Plane flew in 1939 it was a single seater, the engine was Designed by Frank Whittle! so this was the first commercial Jet, but the first Production Jet was made by the Germans the Me-262 and the First jet was by the Brits
