mighty effort...but Beethoven cannot be "reduced", especially the Eroica. The Eroica is almost the greatest symphony ever composed...only topped by NINTH.

Also, look at the eyebrows on those two! Eyebrows must play a key role in composing ability.

Personally I think he held the first two chords for too long. They should be quick, stabbing declarations. Drawing them out takes away from the effect. Still an excellent performance.
