  • @butolina Use tecnifibre ruff code :)

  • wich strings are good for these? im using kirschbaum competition... but i feel them moving alot.

    thanks

  • How are these rackets when hitting with a windshield wiper backhand?

  • I own the MP, but I gotta say that it laks a bit in power... I used to play with Babolat Aero Storm before, and the big difference is that with the head racket, I do have a lot softer feel and control my game way better, altough it is very hard to gain power, wich was more easier with the babolat...

  • I bought the MP this morning. I havent really played with it properly but I have 2 things to say . 1) It is beautifully light and comfortable and 2) the grip is great. Normally when you get a new racket they just give you a grip thats good enogh to start off with for the first few games but this grip is great. I love it!

  • I just got the MP this past weekend. I loved it and I'm so glad I switched over from Prince. It was gonna be head or Babolat as I was upgrading to a higher end racket. I usually only play recreationally but this racket has shown me that I have more potential than I thought. From the first time using it, it has given me an immense increase in control in both spin and direction. Love the feel of this racket and the price was right at 110 in Sports authority with $20 off coupon for a price of 90!

  • I thought Andy Murray actually uses the Pretige with the Pro paintjob

  • I've just ordered the MP i have played with it before and it's really good I got alot of feel at the net cud be due to the strings idk but overall great

  • @TennisGamer121 how much did you pay for it? I demoed the MP and was very pleased with but it is a bit pricey

  • I use the radical mp and it's very flexible and it's got very good control

  • i just got a speed! great racket!

  • @MC1796 Dose Novak Djokovic use that one?

  • @princeofpersia229 no he uses the utek speed racquet

  • 3:44 - 3:48

youll probably like hitting with either one of these STICKS... :D

  • The Radical Pro with Luxilon Big Banger (25-27 Kg) is perfect for baseline hitters. For those who suffer from tennis elbow...forget it, it will destroy your elbow!

  • I use the radical MP i think its an exelent racket for any kind of spin

  • 1:30 have fun picking up all the balls :D

  • I use the radical mp and really love it. Very good power and does exactly what this guy says. Ease of dropshots and massive serves

  • I use the wr

  • Really like this guy's technique, very clean

  • The youteck radical pro is really good! i love the combination of the power and control.

  • I use the Radical Pro and It's great for players who hit with a lot of pace because not only can I maintain that speed, but the spin I can create also helps me to stay consistent. Great racket.

  • Yh man I have the midplus youtek it is great for monuverability

  • I am an intermidiate level player, and I am more of a baseline player and I like to hit hard with a bit of spin. What would you reccomend a good string hybrid for this racquet(youtek radical pro), which is durable and soft and easy on arm?. I have used luxilon alupower and it gave me some wrist problems. I like the babolat pro hurricane tour even though it is a bit old string now. Can anyone recommend me good strings for this racquet? mainly control, comfort, duration, power, feel.

  • I bought the radical youtek pro racquet today hurrayyy. I thought all the pros are using very head light racquets to get more swing speed. But I am surprised to find out they are only 2-3 points head light. I am using the wilson blx pro open at the moment. Can anyone compare blx pro open to youtek radical pro please???

  • hey will whats the diference between a pro tennis racquet from the ones from store ex:tenniswarehouse, tennisexpress????????????

  • the difference is the weight

the Head Youtek Radical MP=295 gr.

the Head Youtek Radical PRO=315 gr.

    and

    Head Youtek Speed MP=315 gr.

    Head Youtek Speed PRO=335 gr.

    sorry for my bad english

  • @santitenis18 Also the radical MP head size is 98 SQIN and radical Pro is 100 SQIN.

  • what dont you like about this racquet? Always good things about racquets?

  • whats the diff between pro and mp????

  • Will these rackets play similar to the Radical that Agassi used to play with?

The main difference is the Youtek material that stiffens on impact?

  • What do you think is better out of the two?

  • ::sigh:: I want those!!! I still play with the microgels :-/

  • @JenerationJ i have the microgel mp, my friend uses the youtek mp....... personally i think the microgels are better ;)

  • @sbearder23 there is a new and better technology

  • actually andy murray plays with the midplus his is just custom made so the specs are changed

  • not sure of which raquet would fit me.. which would you recomend??... I am (right now) at a begginer/intermediate point.. and hopefully, with a bit more of practice all of my "good performance" will come back.. but for that.. what would you recommend?? :)

thank you very much for all your help (with the videos, etc.)

  • Hi, I love the videos that you provide... I love playing tennis.. and I used to play when I was younger (I was very good at it) but that was about 13 years ago... so.. now I'm taking it back.. but.. I think that my raquet isn't fit for me anymore.. the thing is.. I'm not sure yet of my style of tennis.. so I'm

  • will how do i know whether i should buy the pro or mp? im not sure how to decide between the two...

  • @brawlaccount the pro is a bit heavier at 315g and the mid plus is a 295g :)

  • hello

im 21 year old, i started playing tennis 6 months ago ago and i have a problem with my racquet, when i try to hit hard with it it just gets out of control and doesnt make that POP sound at all and sometimes i even get the ball off court

    why is this hapening ?

  • @ismpes your raquet is probably too powerful i dont know about u but i stay away from wilson because i find them wayy too powerful i have this raquet and it is a more control oriented but it still has a nice blend.

  • Buen vídeo, me gustaría que los subtitularan, ya que me gustaría saber las opiniones de la raqueta, dentro de poco tengo que cambiar mi raqueta, una babolat contac tour y quiero saber si seria buena opción cambiarla por la radical mp

  • you break strings a lot with the 315 g. And Murray plays with a disguised Prestige.

  • The radical Mp is very good raquet indeed...

The pro model has more power and more top spin variaty in its arsenal !!!!

I Think both are really awesome raquets :P

  • So whats the different between youtek speed and youtek radical?

  • WHY YOU DIDN'T USE K-FACTOR VERSION OF BLADE 98 ?????

  • THE PRO IZ BEAST I HAVE IT

  • I own one of these and they're actually pretty good. Heavy rackets, i think, usually feel bulky and hard to control, but this one is different. This doesnt' even feel heavy at all. It feels smooth when you're swinging and I love it! :)

  • HUH, I thought Murray uses the MP. Can you please confirm this Will

  • i have 1 of these., can anyone advice me what string tension should i use for this racket??

  • damn lefthand!

anyway, i reaaly do wanna buy one of these racquets, but i don't know what's the best for me

  • Murray uses the prestige from the late 90's early 2000's, its just painted like the radical

  • head racquets are crap

  • what's your forehand's grip? it looks nice!! and is the radical MP like to be hit with flat?

  • Nice video, i love this racquet i have demoed this racquet, the babolot aeropro drive gt, and the pure drive gt, and out of all of them like the youtek radical mp the best because of its control, and surprisingly has a high amount of power, and also has easy access to spin. I TOTALLY 100% RECOMMEND THIS RAQUET FOR INTERMEDIATE - ADVANCED LEVEL PLAYER.

  • Fyb Hello, I'm Italian and I wonder if the youtek HEAD Radical Pro is for people who like me is coming out of an epicondylitis and medial epicondylitis, THANKS

  • I used to hit with the Babolat aero pro drive. I tried the mp out and lovedddddd it... i now use that. i get a much harder and more accurate hit with it andddd it works very well if you have a one hand back hand cuz it is even balanced. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this racquet!!!!

  • Does the Pro version seem more forgiving? How heavy does it play compared to your NBlade?

More importantly, are the grip shapes the same as the microgel versions?

  • You know, I tried this racket out (I would say my skills are at a 2.5 level, yes, i have a lot of work ahead of me), it felt great... I mean, I have a medium build, not too strong, but likes to rip it on the baseline... o_O I like it, though are the microgel and liquidmetal sort of similar? I can't afford $190

  • hi. i am a seventh greader that is on my schools jv tennis team. i just purchased the radical mp. i love it

it works well and it gives great stamina on my serves power.

  • Noc ke dic ese waro?.... traduccion Please..... sakn uno al spañol n latinoamerica hay mejors tenist ke USA...... Xp

  • I think that this raquet is amazing!!! I have the pro and swear by it. It took a little getting used to after comming from a lighter raquet, but the power you get with it is incrdible. I can see why murray uses it!!

Btw-the factory strings are tight, but with the closed string pattern my strings lasted about 2 months.

  • 3do? what´s that??? so.... all rackets companies spend million dollars every year!!! for similar tecnologies? MARKETING MARKERTING LIES!!!!!

  • will, do you think that the d30 technology actually works?

i just bought one and i really thought the technology worked.

  • i have mp i love the great youtek feel to it but you need to get rid of the factory strings they suck and they are so tight i broke them after 1 week

  • @olivermillen25 i have a MP with factory string i think its a crap but im not shore if they are or not.... yours broke in 1 week?? i used to broke my strings 3 to 3 months more or less...... with my old raquet but whith the mp i have it since crhistmas and the strings are dont brake.

    What strings do you recomend?

    thanks

  • i have the midplus and i love it i can hit ammazing shots with it from any location on the court very nice racquet my personal favorite but i do also like the old micro gel version 5 stars for great racquet, review and knowledge :)

  • @01sean yeah all these brands are confusing but i think i got the jist of it, the radical versions are usually orange and prestige is red. the pro versions are 16x19 string pattern

  • Since hard shots impact the racket very briefly and soft shots impact the racket for much longer, you get lower stiffness behavior for softer shots. When hitting hard shots impact time is short and the racket performs stiff. But for soft shots the ball impact is much longer and the racket will begin to give more than a standard frame.

Of course the racket always flexes more for harder hit shots, but not as much as a racket without this polymer (so they claim)

  • Always used head.. and never plan to use anything else. I have an old Head 660 Streak racket, and a bunch of Penn balls. It's just what I was given!

  • of course murray is playing a prestige with a paintjob you can see it on the side of the rackte (its black to the end).

    f murray

  • its not because you can get it added to the racket

  • I just bought the Microgel version of the Radical Pro...can't wait to go out and hit and see how it feels...

  • Guys, I have done many complex surveys on andy murrays, string pattern, weight of racket, and headsize, and results show it is neither PRO or MP, It is infact the Prestige Pro with a paintjob of a Radical MP. I have studied and surveied his racket, and this result has a 88% chance of being correct.

  • @jubei2008 yep, he just gets the paint job for radical. same thing with safin, he used his classic 600 frame for pretty much all variations, but had the paint job of whatever racket he was endorsing at the time, like the microgel

  • I just orderd the midplus with the luxilon big banger string (57lbs) which is not arm friendly. I hope it wont be so stiff because I have a onehandedbackhand.

  • i have the MP its really good when i demoed it, it felt really weird but you have to keep on playing with it!

  • Sorry, but there's no chance that Murray's using the Pro model... He always used the MP version since back in the day. I heard from a friend of mine that hit with him before that he actually tried the Microgel Pro in the beginning, but he got back to the MP cause he couldn't get used to it at all. Besides, the guy hits pretty flat strokes, what would fit way better in the MP patterns...

  • This is really a player's preference racket, I've seen reviews and I've demoed this racket. I would have to say that the feel was not quite what I wanted, I felt the vibration coursing through my arm and the control seemed non-existent. Overall, I think this racket really does perform under any circumstance, I just didn't want to hit with it long enough to find out.

  • what string does Soderling have?

  • what string should i get it strung with

  • @mangomangoz get the regular string witch is rpd

  • try the genesis black magic, its made of softer material allows for more spin generation, and its wicked awesome, thats my opinion since thats the strings i use =]

  • chess i'll give it a try, would it work well in a hybrid if so what with what?????? ohhhhhhhhh and thanks again :)))))))

  • AND SODERLING USES THE MP!

  • For an intermediate player who's looking for better control but can generate decent power, which racquet would you recommend? The HEAD Youtek Radical MP or the HEAD Youtek Speed MP 16x19?

  • hehe youtek on youtube

  • i wana get this raket but im wondering how much it weigh if its an asain version.. there is difference a with the US weight. wat grams is it??

  • @josephpetican the mp weighs 295g and the pro weighs 315g i think but the mp is deffo 295 cos i just ordered 1 this week :P

  • 295g and 315g.. does that have big diff?

  • Im actually looking into one of these racquets, I like the pro version but dislike leather grips but that can be easily replaced.

  • i love the radical series of racquets right now i have the liquid metal mp. i know its an older one but my babolat broke and i have to use it

  • yeah you can only demo them if you live in the CONTINENTAL US i live in hawaii, i cant get shit. i can either hope i can borrow it from someone i know or just buy it.

  • im getting the radical mp its the best lots of control the serves are awesome the vollys are the best just a great racket!

  • just wondering how you can say that the serves are great? wat fi your serve isnt great in the first place?

Does it help a great deal.. my first serve is good but needs work on it and my second is pretty poor.. does this raquet help?

    Thanks mate

  • meaning i can hit it more procise and get it in all the time you can get good angle and speed too. does that help?

  • there's still shipping cost even though the racket is free to demo...

  • i have the youtek radical midplus

  • Please review more RACKETS!!!

Hopefully some Bablots and K factors

  • just wondering what strings would you guys recommend on the radical mp? im most likly going to get that racket but the strings in the racket right feel weird so just wondering.

ps. the serve is great with this racket good control and great vollys!

  • Come on.. We both know that Murray uses a Microgel Prestige Pro... It's so obvious because of the CAP Gromets and the headsize. Please stop selling lies to people. FYB used to be about helping and not fooling.

  • Andy murray swithched rackets a while ago. Stop being a smartass.

  • I don't understand people like you. I don't know shit about you are talking about. Do you think they change racquet everytime they got a new paintjob?

  • that's like saying novak still uses a wilson but he uses a youtek speed now...

  • he doesnt use a prestige pro lol its an old radical it was older thn the radical pro

  • im thinking to get a YOUtek RAdical MP

i had a HEAD TI.S2 for 3 years i think i want to change do you think i should do it?

    thanks

  • totally up to you if you wanna play with a more advance model or upgraded i guess sort of speak,

  • i am getting the pro

  • lol motherwasp andy murray uses the radical pro, not the prestige pro. he had been interviewed a few times and has clearly said that he will be using the youtek radical pro.

  • and you probably believe that dont you? Andy murray has been using the same racket for a long time, the only thing that changes is the paint job(and yes, his racket IS a prestige, its only painted with a radical PJ)

  • I hear that Safin uses a prestige that is painted like a current racquet also. Deceitful.

  • no man, go to Tenniswarehouse and look it up. they have all the main pros' raquets. Safin doesnt use prestige... although its a great raquet... i got 2 but no i think he uses wilson... maybe...

  • I know he uses head racquets. I've read that he uses a prestige. Either way, I want to try one. I use a head Ti S6. It's seem pretty nice.

  • what is the difference between this radical (murray's) line and the type djokovic uses youtek speed pro.

which has a higher power level, the radical mp or the radical pro?

  • can u tell us more about the difference in the game between the MP and the PRO ?

what's up about the Elite version of the Radical ?

  • I use the youtek rad mp after I couldn't find an austrian made LM radical to replace my broken one. Im a ntrp 4.5 in FL. I like the racket a lot. Very soft on my arm. Enough power to crush the ball but still control oriented. Its a players racket as Will mentioned. I think the biggest weakness of the radical line has been volleys. This racket has good touch at net. Previous radicals felt too flexy at net. If you had an off center hit . . . bad result. New youtek is more stable. Upgraded LM rad.

  • Just a comment about Andy Murray's racket, he actually uses a Microgel Prestige Pro painted like a Youtek Radical Pro. You can see from the string pattern and the CAP grommets.

  • lol realy??? thats weared

  • I don't think it's a good idea for your racket to be changing characteristics from one shot to the next. Your subconscious judges your ball strike based on it's previous experiences. It's little wonder Novak has struggled for consistency since changing to Youtek.

  • Depends though. Yes it may not have worked for Novak as he would have hoped but it's one of those things that you need to try and see how it works for you. Like marmite some will love it while some will loathe it. :)

  • The "youtek" doesn't make much difference. There is so little "material" in there . . . its just a marketing scheme. Every company creates some new infused crap to spur sales. If they actually made a difference top pro's would be using them instead of using older rackets painted over as the new ones. Andy roddick for instance doesn't even use his own signiture babolat.

  • yea, nothing ever beats 100% graphite, or 80% graphite 20% kevlar

  • i own this racket, and it is awesome! i put hurricanes on it and use the shock absorber that comes with it. it performs very well (especially for my service)

  • You're wearing a Davidson shirt? That's not where you're hitting is it? I'm looking to apply to that school.

  • I uses the radical MP with 98 square inch, level 2.5~3. I found it is especially to creat top spin with the forhand, and hard to return a good double backhand strike. the good is this raquet is soft and protective when swing with a moderate speed, and a lot control with flat hit and backhand slice and volley. however, if you swing hard and miss hit the sweet area, it damages your wrist very fast for the strong vibration of racquet. in short, it is good racquet for moderate speed practice.

  • Since the sponsor of the review is a racquet store, I think it would be nice to see a comparison of two racquets with the same specs but different brands

  • I love watching Will hit.

Would be great to see HD footage of one of his matches.

  • hi, first of all thx for this review, but i have a question, which one has actually more control, Head Radical MP or Head Prestige MP (since there is no Youtek Prestige yet, so assume that both racket is using microgel technology)? thx.......

  • i never seen FYB do a babolat racquet review b4?

  • We haven't done any Babolat rackets yet. Hopefully we'll get to them soon.

  • thanks, i have been wondering about the the new GT thing.

  • @FYB2007 Will help...i cant decide which racquet to get...the head youtek speed pro or the head youtek radical mp or pro.....cause they all almost hv similar type which is more top spin n having more control....but i do not know which hits more power..help pls :) !

  • what do you think abou a wilson ncode nrival? :) thanks for your videos... You're Amazing!! :)

  • very helpful series of videos, i wonder if there will be a review about other Head rackets, especially the Flexpoint FirePro (crossbow technology)?

  • what racquet do you personally use?

  • Wilson nBlade 98. Yayeeeeyay.

  • haha, love the enthusiasm.. i currently use the kblade tour (93) which is an awesome frame, do you think you'll switch to the kblade 98 anytime soon??

  • Think we're being sent some Babolats. Stay tuned.

  • Do you believe in these make-believe technologies? Are you at liberty to answer that question faithfully?

  • Yes, I can answer this truthfully -- we will never compromise our integretity when doing a review like this.

I could feel the racket get a little bit stiffer the harder I hit.

Regardless of this technology -- or any other -- you should use a racket you like. If it feels comfortable when you hit and you hit a nice ball, use that racket.

  • Thanks for the honesty and sound advice.

To add some context, I just wanna say that I deeply admire Sampras for not switching rackets (i.e. paint jobs) in his career, winning the 2002 USOpen with a racket first made in 1985.

Today, every 2-3 years the racket manufacturers invent some new magical hocus-pocus technology and I feel that this is extremely dishonest.

  • Hi bobomber. You're absolutely right that there is a lot of marketing involved w/these names. We're aware of that.

However, manufacturers do put a lot of thought into how they construct rackets. For example, simply putting lead tape on a racket can dramatically affect how it feels when you swing it.

So small tweaks in how you build a racket really do make big differences.

My opinion is that these manufacturers are putting out legitimate products with some occasional over-the-top marketing.

  • nice video I'm really liking these tennis racquet reviews :)

  • Thx!
