  • You should try to focus more on the sword itself. You talk too much shit around the actual sword. If you mispronounce or anything, it's no problem. Just talk about the sword and cut something up, thats what people like to see. For the rest; well done! I can tell, since I'm a superninja myself.

  • well, this exact sword was designed by Stephen Hayes, a NINJA, so, pretty sure, it has historical relevance

  • @muaythaijuggernaut No, the the straight-bladed "ninjato" has no historical relevance what so ever...

  • ninjas are real im one.

  • would you recommend this sword as a good first sword

my budget is £140 and this seems good

nice vid you should make more

  • Not a true ninjato, but few people really would know.

  • The badges on the handle are in the correct potion. They basically mark where you hold it. And to the other guy who asked if it is legit, it sure is. IMO, it holds up to other expensive swords in terms of sharpness and edge holding. As it is differentially hardened. Eg, clay tempered. You got a great ninjato there mate. If you want more accurate ninjato, and better imo. Look up the bujinkan tiger Lilly. By cheness. Spelt it wrong I know. SBG reviews it. Peace.

  • Excuse me, But can you tell me the Overall length of a Ninjatō. The Blade Length, The Handle Length. I'm Trying to Buy one and i want accurate information.

  • @xHajime Overall Length: 34 1/2'' Blade: 24', Weight: 1 lb 15 oz, P.O.B.: 4 1/4'', Thickness: 6.8 mm - 5.1 mm, Width: 28.6 mm, Grip Length: 9 7/8''

    (Specs from KultofAthena)

  • @macjmillsx Thank you I really appreciate it

  • thank you macjmillsx for quoting sword buyers guide guy about the katana

  • the hands are kuji-kiri the 9 hand symbols rin, pyo,to,sha, kai, jin, retsu, zai, zen

  • @kingofshadowsz99 thats not nerdy at all

  • Hm. As far as the asymmetrical charm locations on the grip go, I'm thinking perhaps they may be used to mark appropriate gripping positions?... Iunno.

  • is this sword legit? like kill a ninja right now ready?

  • insomniac1122 a guy i know has this sword and he used it to shave the back of his hand to show how sharp it is, so im pretty sure its legit lool

  • I agree completely about SBG. If your going to buy a sword you HAVE TO GO TO SBG.

  • the ninjas also used swords like katanas but they where much shorter and straight so not curved they also got a sword with two ends if im correct so you could take a sword out from both directions of the scabbard the part where you say something of the menuki no thats not wrong the menuki is for grip so everyone placed them as they liked it the most you have one below and one above but one hand is also below and one above so it only whas for the ultimate grip

  • the menuki is for grip thats treu

  • wat is full tang mean?

  • full tang is when the blade itself extends into the handle and down to the end hilt while remaining close to the same width as the exposed blade.

  • is this sword full tang?

  • no. but that would be nice

  • you are the most boring person ever you just keep talking.

  • dang mac j mills x ppl are mean and jealous huh LOL

  • nice review but u talk too much!

  • I get that from time to time ; )

On my knife review videos, I get teased for how long I talk before I even open the knife!

I am always learning and getting better though.. hopefully better vids are on the horizon.

  • Hahaha! perhaps... ; )

  • Can't the tsuba on Ninjato be used as a shuriken as well? =p

  • I don't know for sure... it's possible, but I don't know if it was used that way historically. I have read that the Ninjato Tsuba was oversized to facilitate climbing though.

  • the historical ninjato looked nothing like this

  • I know, this is more of a hollywood fantasy sword, but it is fast and sharp and affordable.. I'm pretty happy with it.

  • @jcb878 thats actually not true the type of sword wether it had a blood groove or not depended on the family or clan of ninja

  • @jcb878

Do you know of a place to find images of the traditional ninjato?

  • Don't be stupid, they aren't going to take apart their sword to throw a blunt square piece of metal at someone.

  • It is doubtful... there is so much misinformation and hollywoodization when it comes to Ninjas and certain martial arts.

  • no its for giving you a boost while climbing.

you stab the sword into the ground and step on the stuba thats why its square and wide. to accomidate feet.

  • And the rambling just made it better haha, I was interested and entertained throughout. Thanks again!

  • Haha! Thanks!! Glad you were interested ; )

  • Kick ass man, thanks for posting this, I wanted to see it up close before I bought it.

  • im getting it tomorrow

  • Congrats! It an amazing sword.

  • Oh God just get down to the blade and the quality

  • Sorry! I know I talk to much....Have you seen my cut test for this sword? Pretty impressive cutting performance.

  • Yea man 5 stars very nice

  • I commented on the other video -- but I also have this sword -- and I think it's pretty cool. Sharp, well-made, good-looking. Not a historically-oriented blade or whatever, but it's still pretty frickin' sweet.

  • I'm happy with it, I'm gonna go cut stuff today if the rain relents!
