The G1 is amazing for people on the go and need easy, stable access to the internet. Very convenient phone. Who cares if it doesnt have video or microsoft exchange. You can always access that anyway through web access... problem solved.

when you buy the phone you get to choose the 25 dollar or 35 dollar plus caller's plan. 35 has unlimited data(internet) and texting, 25 has unlimited data and 400 text messages. the final price depends on how much you want to spend on talking, can be expensive.Cheaper than AT&T in my opinion.

I'm guessing you talking about the prices. Well the 25 and 35 dollars is per person, but there is a family plan for calling. All you are paying with 25 and 35 dollars is an internet and text messages. :D

Iphone is simpler but more expensive and G1 is better for the users that like freedom. You can customize basically everything. Iphone has already everything set up for you, basically Iphone is like Macbook and G1 is more like Windows except it's ran by google. I'll get G1 mainly because I'm on T-mobile already.

It's a piss poor phone, don't get it. I got one and gave it back, it was driving me nuts. I was ashamed to take it out in public. It's like a brick with a sliding shelf on top. And the battery...this is the phone for those who don't use phones. Battery life is appalling. It's a beta product that shouldn't be released, they should have used it as a prototype or something.

this phone looks pretty disappointing. So let me get this straight. He just announced some of it's "features" are if your contacts have addresses you can look them up in google maps?? Gee, that comes with any phone capable of using google maps so thats nothing that really stands out. The browser took like 3 times longer to load The Wall Street Journal than my Blackberry Storm so that's not a note worthy feature. The one cool thing was the Street View feature.

It is a cool phone. It has some crazy supercool applications all for FREE. On advice though, keep one charger at home, one in the car and one at work. The battery life is horrible.Other than that is awesome.
