Boring game if u think about no 5 on 5 exictement it was pretty much power plays the whole game..i dont know about u but i like to see 5 on 5 play more than power plays

Backstrom probably is the most underrated player but Ovechkin is an underrated passer as well people think he just scores goals but hes a great passer. But Backstrom is so talented and hes like 22 putting up sindey crosby numbers ad yet no one talks about him

Caps better not play like this come Cup time if it's a hawks vs caps game....they will not last with out help from the refs....it took 2 5 on 3's and a missed icing to even allow them to tie this up. You can't hope for this every game. And I hope you don't depend to much on ovi cause I see him going down in Game 1

Learn the rules Kartracer. Don't you think the entire Blackhawk bench would've been up in arms if the refs were wrong? The delayed penalty was assessed, correctly, because the goal wiped out the first high-sticking penalty of the double-minor, not the delayed high-sticking call.

What Kartracer is suggesting should've happened would be the equivalent of a team getting both of their guys out of the penalty box when scored upon in a 5-on-3 situation. And we all know that's not the case.

wow...i saw this then heard reviews of it. They are right the refs messed that 3rd period up. They put them on a 5-3 when it should have just been 5 on 4 2 min. because the delayed should have been waived since they scored on it. I'm so tried of getting screwed by the refs this year. It gets old when Chicago is the better team and refs lose our games. The Detroit game I'm so glad I wasn't at because I thought they were going to riot that game with the awful calls.

@Kartracer6 the first half of the double minor was wiped out, not the delayed penalty. the rule book says: the first penalty is wiped out. One goal cant wipe out 2 penalties, look it up

@Bobbyjoe64 Where do you get it would wipe out 2 penalties. The rule book says: In the event of a delayed penelty and a goal is scored, the delayed penelty shall not be enforced. He says 5 on 4 for 2 min, I think he means 2 mins and like 20 secounds. Which is practically 2 mins. The caps scored 2 goals on a 2 man advantage because of 1 penalty. Then what about the 4 min penalty that should have been 2 (the guy was cut from a previous play).

@Kartkid024 i got the wiping out 2 penalties from another comment. i was also replying to him. Here's why: Caps are on a power play with a delayed penalty. if they score, the original penalty is dismissed and the delayed penalty is assessed. if it were wiped out, 2 penalties would have been wiped out by 1 goal which is specifically said to be against the rules. Semin had a scab from the previous game so yeah the 4 min. might have been 2 but the consensus is that blood equals a dbl. minor.

Well thats not the point. All I'm saying is anytime a penalty is called you get a extra man cause the goalie is pulled. So if you score, then thats why they waive the delayed penalty. But basically Washington scored both the goals on a 2 man advantage.

As far as the 4 min pen. The rule book actually only states an injury. But its the refs call and I think it was the wrong one.

I think Ovechkin deserved a minor penalty and I know he doesn't want to injure people he just wants to dish out hits. I hate people who say hes "dirty" because he does more than just score. Leave a no contact game for sidney crosby

It wasn't a dirty hit, it was just a stupid hit. He's a great player, but from time to time he needs to learn when and when not to hit, cause as he has learned you can really hurt a player and possible end a career or in this cause a players season.
