  • CRRRAAAASSSSHHH!!! zinggggggg.....

  • Really brings the authentic "Chinese" sound to the mix when it sounds like bloody clashing blades with every hit!

Ah well - the ringing overtones kind of killed it but props for trying it and thanks for uploading it so we all get to hear. =)

  • It sounds like my rubbish bin...

No for real, why do people sticking cymbals together? One cymbal takes away the space from the other and so it sound like a sheet of metal.

  • Gibraltar drop clutch FTW

  • 0:19 hardcore o.o

  • what is the purpose of this?????

  • @guardianigor sound

  • could you flip the china?

  • Never do this again.

  • sounds like my rectum opening up and dropping a load of shit

  • it would sound awesome if the china would be on the bottom. trust me!

  • sounds a lot like anus

  • @drummerkid904 Not gonna lie, I seriously laughed at that. xD

  • @rollerghost615

    haahaa

  • i like the overtone its so peircing

  • POAHOAOHAOHOAHiiiiing (8) ^^

  • Yesh that is expensive :p This sounds awesome but probably needs some moon gel to get rid of the overtones if it wouldn't affect the actual sound of the cymbals too much.

  • Sounds terrible, but thats my personal opinion whatever floats your boat :)

  • Mom's head pops into the room: "Stop this horrible noise!"

  • I loved!

  • But some tape on it to take away the overtones and it's ready to go.

  • i give your chine 2 months at max playing it like that ;)

  • Probably no way to kick the ringing, huh? Such a shame... I'm a Paiste fan looking at stacks, that one's pretty much amazing, but like others have said, the ringing really kinda kills it.

  • I think i want that as my set up ahaha

  • Sounds good and expensive^^

  • i make my own stax and i put moongels on mine and it takes away the extra ringing after you hit it

  • i wouldnt do that bc your cymbal is more prone to crack that way

  • oh i didnt know that ive been using them on my own stax for almost a year its probably about placement

  • yeah man can't hit china's with the lip facing upward. If you were to stick the china upside-down on the bottom, and mount your crash on the top, you'll be able to bash away guilt-free.

This'd be sweet as though if your china was already fucked, cracked & stacked a la John Theodore.

  • Clever!

  • omg this is awesome, nice "new" cymbal !

  • oh my god.. this is sick

  • Got those overtones are ugly sounding

  • whats in the box from Mapex?

  • Mapex Black Panther Snare Drum

  • NICE!! i am thinking about getting a MPX maple snare

  • @changehow0 !!!!!

  • art of life

  • I don't like it, but if you like it use it. ;)

  • lol idk how but that made me laugh for no reason XD

  • weirdly good sound but just turn it the other way to avoid crackin the china XD

  • your china will crack so fast if you play it like that. I have a Zildjian which cracked in 8 places after it was played that way up

  • Yeah, it's more likely to crack, but that's really the best way to play a stack and the crash on the bottom also absorbs shock, so it won't crack as easily as if it was just the china

  • but in fact I never cracked any cymbul....

  • @changehow0 your lucky then im on my 4th broken one lmao

  • @changehow0 you will

  • @changehow0 *cymbal*

  • @drummerdick8290

    it's cause it's a zildjian, don't worry

  • @drummerdick8290 Why'd you keep playing it like that after you cracked it the first time?...

  • @drummerdick8290 cuz zildjians are known to crack. paiste are more hardcore

  • @drummerdick8290 Depends on the angle of the cymbal and your technique.

  • zildjian

  • what about them

  • theyre better, no syrupy overtones

  • dampen the china with gorrila tape to get rid of the annoying ring. and hope that it doesnt change the sound too much. Cause that would be a DAMN shame.

  • tht sounds awsomee

  • sounds like R2D2 shitting a brick

  • YAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

    (Brick Goes Fyling

  • lol. I was gonna write: " 'That's expensive' - and sounds like a piece of crap". But you nailed it. :-D

  • That made me LOL!!!!!

  • the initial hit sounds awesome, but the little ring at the end ruins it for me.

  • Word!

  • it looks weird

  • I Don´t like it! (I play Paiste signature myself)

  • Me too. I use all size signature....and some traditional

  • Interesting.

  • I dislike it.

  • DUDE! that thing is sick!

  • But seperately perfect

  • I like it, but the overtone right after its hit kills it

  • If you were to purchase a "fixed" hi hat attachment, which basically is an extra cymbal arm that attachs too any cymbal stand, you could use it to take say an 18 inch china and then stack like a 16 inch crash on top as if they were the hi hats...and then you would have a sweet ass sounding stack...trust me ive done it and it gets that same kinda sound Tomas Haake from meshuggah gets..because he does the same thing...trust me its the way to go!

  • can you put a video up of that that sounds beastly

  • sounds so "in your face"

  • if i were you, id interchange the cymbals. i mean, the china upside down on the bottom and the crash the right way on top, it shouldnt change the sound MUCH but it would defineteley make that THIN china last longer and your sticks too, cause they hit the edge of the china and they chip off, the combination sounds much like Bozzios "white noise" stack used for KoRn's "Evolution". He subsituted normal hi hats with a china/crash stack. Listen to Jhonathan on the making of evolution video.

  • That's true. This is the best device. in fact, I never used this stack after this recording.

  • why? i think its cool. its unusual.

  • It sounds like a sword fight,,,,lol

  • very nice kombi.this is very cool

  • sick

  • the reason why he has it the "right way up" with the sort of inversions pointing up is that he has a hi-hat underneath and if he inverted it like most drummers do then the sound would be horrible and it would destroy the cymbal very quickly.

  • how much is it??

  • $539.40 :)

  • if you keep hitting your china like that it will break. It has to upside down

  • people that dont hit that hard have it the right way up... or is it the wrong way up

  • If it weren't for those overtones, it'd be KICK ASS. Really nice trashy sound.

  • it sounds decent and then u get these horrible overtones lol nasty

  • There's actually a drummer on youtube that uses this. Just type in Vadrum.

  • You can get pretty much the same sound from two really cheap cymbals!...lol

  • Don't you mean "sheath"?

  • wow fucking amazing sound :P

  • sounds fuckin awesome!!!

  • my 16" fast crash cracked today... sigh... :'(

  • Don't do that again.

  • Then use it as part of a stack! My friend did that.

  • it sounds gud but i wudnt wana risk breakin those beauties

  • that sounds amazing...

  • sounds like oldschool doctor who sound effects

  • It's like slowly beating an angel to death with her own beautiful golden harp.

  • in an awesome/beautful way..... right?

  • haha, exactly.

  • that's a cool idea... but i wouldn't do that if they we're my own sigs. i wouldn't risk denting/cracking those precious pies. lol.

  • Isn't the china the wrong side to hit it? Dont dent a Signature! ; 0

  • you wont crack it by doing that, chinas are designed to be played any way, its just us drummers have adopted hitting the rounded edge =]

  • I don't like the metallic sound they make afterwards, but right after you hit them they sound great:)

  • to 20 in k costom rides as high hatsthat would be my heros hats lol

  • That's horrible!

  • i wanna do this with to wuhans so do i just but the same size of both cymbals or differnt sizes tell me if u know iv never dont this before

  • Nice sound

  • Nice sound

  • Nicee....

    and i agree with Mitchzizzle

ive tried it at guitar center and it sounds sweet!!

  • your rewinen them take them apart they would shound so much nicer

  • I don't get it, it's like a hihat made out of a crash and china?

  • Oh wait, I get it it's like a max stax.

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • it's sound really metallic.... but is really cool

  • I'd would either tighten or loosen them

  • Great sounding, bu you may have to adjust the cymbals abit so a little air can get between them to stop that ring!

  • wow! I like the sharp ending resonance!

  • You just gave me a terribly awesome idea, Putting two chinas like hi hats...

  • i want to put 2 like 18 inch crashes together for a pair of giant hihats.

  • have you tried combining 2 splashes for some mini hihats ? im thinkinabout tryin it just got 2 get another splash

  • Well meinl make "minihats" which - the smallest ive seen - is 12"

  • yea that too but i mean like sum 8" splash hats haha thats a cool name i just made that up

  • Pur3p0w3r06 and Miikee90 are sorta on the best tracks with the Meinl Minihats and the Paiste ones, (designed to be hats duh) Cause if you made hats out of Splashes it would be too washy since splashes are basically small crashes,

  • Paiste makes 10" HH, i was thinking, what happen with 2 splash 6"???

  • I would like to try that, except I use my Splash as an accent rather than my Crash, and now its all bent out of shape :(. I shouldn't have bought such small one but they are so nice...

  • STICK TWO 22" CHINAS TOGETHER TO MAKE THE MOST UBER HATS EVER! Seriously, if you do that, you would be my god.

  • NO WAY!

  • i once put together my 16" crash and 12" splash. sounds very trashy.

  • wow

  • son blandos los signature

  • ,max stax!

  • yep~my all time favorite

  • i have a pretty old bg sabian splash below a paiste innovations 10 splash

  • Teach me the secret of cymbal stacking

  • In fact, I just try out every possibility with one china on one crash... Just trust your ears

  • I love the trashy 'white noise' effect of the stacked cymbals... the only think I don't like is the high-pitched overring that carries on after the initial crash has faded.

  • very unique sound maybe you have got something there

  • thats prob a good way to crach ur cymbals

  • Yep, two of them have already cracked. The sound became even more piercing. Really cool!

  • solo 1 persona haria eso con 2 paiste

  • Oh, thank you!

  • wow that shounds horrible,

    p.s its PAISTE
