i went to their concert last night and shake me down was one of the last songs they played. cage the elephant is magical live. just the energy is amazing. being in the front of the crowd singing along to this song at the top of everyones lungs was the most amazing experience ever

can't say this is brillant??? Ok you make a slighty pessimistic song about keeping your eyes on the sun. That when you close ur eyes can still picture beams of light. The raw emotion the highs and lows of this song is amazing. When I heard "no rest for the wicked" there was no distinction between this band and Jack White's stuff. I respect the White Stripes/Jack White love him but this song made Cage the Elephant their own in my eyes!

They're not even quite the same style as Nirvana, but for some reason they do. They've got that "x-factor" that you can't quite put your finger on. It's like they're on the same wavelength, mentally, but in a somewhat different style.
