That sucks they had to get rid of the old WCH m-bell! I think it was working perfectly well!! But at least a rare Safetran e-bell is better than a usaul GS Type 2.
As much as I do love these new signals, I'm still not sure why BNSF had to replace the old ones. The old ones seemed to work perfectly fine. But nobody asked me now, did they?...
the old ones were too short for sidelights and that's why they had to be replaced. BNSF could of replaced them after an accident of someone not knowing there's a train.
Lousy e-bells. Oh well, they're less maintenance, though the real ones sound better. People collect them for a living.

The original lights, bell, and gate lights is what I will replace and they will go into a toolkit and will be used for a brand new signal I get
UP1340 3 years ago
UP should be the next one to put a crossing like this but Aurora LED gate lights
UP1340 3 years ago
Is that another train in the distance?
UP1340 3 years ago
I want UP to use safetran also.
UP1340 3 years ago
Maybe UPRR needs to do this thing to their 9th st crossing.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
I see nothing stupid about the crossing.

I still don't see the point of BNSF replacing every crossing in Rochelle. The old ones worked just as well.

Looks like 12x24 or 12x20 Harmon Fading or Safetran Ball LED's with Safetran Type 3 Electronic Bells.
Caltrain927 3 years ago 2
It is 12x24 lights and I believe they are Harmon.

They kind of look like Safetran/Dialight Ball LED's.
Railhaterssuckdick08 3 years ago
Well it was nighttime so I couldn't exactly make out the names on the lights.
TommyBNSF 3 years ago
They are Safetran Ball LEDs.
owensri2 3 years ago
UP should use more of these in WCH frames
UP1340 3 years ago
They are Ball LEDs.

I Wish They Used A WCH E Bell. There Are a Few Crossings Down The Way With Safetran And WCH Mechanical Bells!
skyman2002 3 years ago
I think it's enough that UP uses the WCH e-bells, IMHO. I'm glad to see BNSF using Safetran e-bells now.
theup3985 3 years ago
UP should also use Safetran E bells
