  • dude, you just saved my art project. i will love you forever.

  • @Bubbletea116 - I'm glad to hear that.:)

  • Didnt get how to add a foliage. There's a lot of methods to do it but I want the cheapest and the fastest

  • @40yard4and25 -Use Reindeer moss and hairspray to stick it. It's the cheapest and fastest.

  • amazing

  • Sweet video. Just wondering when you say putty/wood filler do you mean 50:50 mixture

or you can use either. Also where did you get that nippon matex putty? They did not know about it at the hardware store.

Big fan of your channel !! I like the low budget approach .

  • @JCPTstudios - Hey thanks. You can use either one. Nippon matex putty is a Japanese brand. I think you can get any equivalent wood filler or gap filler. I'm not sure what type can be found in your area.I'm pretty sure it should work the same.

  • @2paintminiatures Thanks you very much, I am starting work on the tree!

  • Very nice ! If you allow me, I posted a video of my model just to show you, I used tin foil to make a tree stump, once painted, it really looks like bark.

Thank you for the inspiration !

  • thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I luv the trees!! Is there any way that we can make it bigger in size? I really need to know!! Thaks!

  • @sasclom2 -It depends how big u want it. Use thicker gauge wire like brass or copper. They are easier to twist and bent. The bigger it is the more wire you need to use.

  • This song will lower your risk of stroke or heart disease

  • Without a doubt, the best and most realistic tree I've seen yet. Great job!

  • Great video

  • This is a really good tutorial :) I have a question though. I've never really used wood filler/putty before so I'm wondering how long will it take for it to dry completely?

  • @nyliaace It dries within 1/2 hr Depending on the weather. On hot days very fast.:)

  • nice that tree looks very realistic

  • is it coat hanger wire or softer?

  • Brass or copper wire are best mate.:)

  • awsome!

  • Thanks.

  • Fantastic job!

  • Thanks mate.;)

  • Nice tutorial sure would like to see more.

  • this is cool looks liek somethign I could use on my model railroad thanks for video

  • I'm gonna use this technique out to build a 54mm scale tree in my next mini dioramma. Thanks for putting this up, peace.

  • My pleasure mate. I'm glad you find this useful.

  • what is wood filler and where can i get it?

  • Wood filler is used to repair furniture and woodwork. I got mine from a Art Supply store.

  • oooh! i see! thank you dude, might be a bit tricky to get it here in sweden, but ill try! :D Thanks a lot!

  • Could you please tell me what to use for the sculpting material if I wanted to make a large tree like this?

Should I just use Plaster instead of wood filler? What kind of plaster would be suitable for this: a tree a few feet tall?

Thank you for posting the video, it gave me some cool ideas.

    much love

  • Just take note that plaster is cheaper but heavy and brittle. They crumble and is not meant for sculpting. Fillers or sealants have some flexibility. You can use a potter's clay for big scale but need to read up about how to use it.;)

  • wow dude! i'm new to warhammer and ill try to make some nice terrain.these trees are nice, are they hard to make/paint? what is tree filling putty and wherte do you get it? would love some anwsers!

  • You can simplify without sculpting the bark, it works for wargaming. Check out WargamingTerrain, cause he used this vid as a guide to make lots of trees.

You can get it from DIY stores or an Art supplies store. It's used for fillings gaps in tiling. ;)

  • cool! i really try and make a tree like that!

    =]

  • Realy nice work on that tree! awsome will use this knowledge for sure!

  • My pleasure. Glad u like it ;-)
