Guys i think i have a problem with my new macbook pro, the track pad is geared wrong to the settings, so i had to originally scroll up on the pad, to scroll down on the screen. This occurred on the scroll direction: natural setting, and i have to un-check the natural setting to be able to scroll 'naturally' up and down on the pad. The sound is also very low when maxed out in the settings, thanks if you can help :)

@santiagocruzb Not sure of the official answer but I have usually had my MacBook plugged in since 2006 and only had to replace the battery in 2011....not a bad run for 1 battery getting a flogging.......I'm still using the same Mac even though my brother has gone through 3 PCs in that time......they are are great investment!

@sketchBendik Why do you need an hdmi port? if you want to connect it to a monitor or hdtv you can always get the hdmi mini DP connector. putting an HDMI port on the computer is a waste of space since you have one port that can be multiple including HDMI

For this price I would have got a twice as good normal PC laptop, plus Windows is a lot better than Mac OS X. My oppinion though, you should do some research and then see. Have a nice day!

@DiViNiTY1337 Sort of agree with you there mate - I got the Summer 2010 revision (2.4ghz Core 2, 4gb ram) to 'test' Macs out. Whilst I can't fault the build quality (seriously; NOTHING could prepare me for the quality of the thing) I wasn't impressed with the desktop performance. That said, installing Windows 7 on it did, ironically, turn it into a very decent little gaming laptop. Forget gaming on OSX though.

But yeah - PCs / Laptops are far cheaper and, specs wise, often vastly superior.

I currently have a Sony Vaio 13.3 inch 2004 laptop. Upgraded the HDD, OS and RAM recently. But definitely due an upgrade. Used to the 13 inches so would it be a waste of money going for anything bigger? This makes them even more vulnerable as Apple are not prepared for assaults on their software. It happened this year in fact and was publicised widely in the news.
