nice video of silage making. We have an international 78 on the farm I cant remember what the model number is, it does abit of tedding and it makes a nice change sitting in the open air if the weather's good! Our first welger baler was one like that as well and we've had welger balers ever since. We've also got an international 440 AllTwine baler, had it for as long as I can remember and that bales abit of hay and barley straw each year.
Yeah, very well done on the 574. I wish I could get mine looking like that and get all the electrics in working order again. And also would love a cab. But nice video and nice 574
Very nice video, good to see those old tractors work :). a question, I've heard the english models of international was not that good in the quality, is there much work to do on the motor all the time on the 785 xl ? :-)
@mattilind123 Thanks very much, thankfully we never had to carry out any work on the engine, apart from routine maintenance, We have had the 785 for more than 10 years and it has never let us down
@IHJames Thanks James, only two spool levers needed, one for the door and one for the reel, I cant see why your 674 wont run it, If it was me i would definitely try it
@Knobbys9nuts Dont actually have a bailer yet, but i am thinking about it. Do the spools need to be doeble acting? At the monent i only have 1 single acting spool.
Thanks for your reply, James (sorry 4 confusion, ive changed my username!)
@IH674Cumbria You need two double acting spool valves, like yourself there was only 1 spool on the 785 so we had to add a second spool valve which we sourced second hand
GREAT videos and the tractors are a credit to you. These are still great machines. i used to have a 574 myself. really good tractors. still have it.and its being restored at the moment. Making hay/silage with these was very enjoyable.I think you feel more conected to the work with these tractors not like the new machines of today.
That is a fukin mint outfit u have there, I have an rp 200 which i drive off a MF 398 they are a very reliable baler which dosent take big power to drive.
I love both Internationals, especially the 574. I remember, when I was younger, driving a 574 and a trailer load of hay bales from a field down the road to the yard behind my parents' house. Very fond memories. Thanks for posting.
Well i own a 95 rp 200 narrow reel meself an i see da pannels open the same. i set mine up wit a netting unit very which is very reliable an fast. what hp is da international u have. looks very origional an well minded

Some awesome bits of kit there. What spool valve arrangement is needed to run that bailer? Do you know if my 674 would run it OK?

The international is 78Hp, The net unit is handier, quicker too, Especially when it comes to winter feeding, but the twines do the job
