  • All these kids talking about "my 4 cylinder can take out your v8."... Yeah with a ton of boost or nitrous which isn't cheap, isn't efficient, and is TERRIBLE for your motor. For half the price of a turbo system, you can make 400hp+ with a 5.0 WITHOUT boost or nitrous. FACT.

  • @assassin7420 $500? Wow, they are practically giving turbos away for 4bangers. I guess it is all supply and demand, and 4 bangers DEMAND a turbo to make any real power. A turbo system for a stang STARTS at around $5,000. And turbos are not efficient, they have a laggy power band and nearly EVERY car with a turbo gets worse gas mileage than their N/A counterpart. They are efficient in high RPMs but that's about it..

At least my 4cyl CAN take a turbo on a stock engine with out blowing up. Oh it spools at 2800/3000rpm, and gets around 32mpg. Turbos get better gas mileage when tuned right dipshit. You have no idea what your talking about, you're just another fanboy who read some articles on the internet and now thinks hes some kind of master tech.

And yes it is a bad thing when you have to spend so much money on turbos and tunes and nitrous to make power. You get 32mpg? Seems realistic considering most jap cars are the size of go karts.   • @GuitarFreak881 Thats to bad your wrong, A turbo kit for a mustang costs a lot less if you know what your doing. 3k, and I could build a nice twinturbo setup for a foxbody, 2500 and I could do a remote mount rear turbo. I hate to tell you, but you have to tune N/a cars as well as turbos. I also see that white car of yours is in ga, I got 1000 dollars cash that says my go cart walks past you.

  • One thing that I have noticed about a lot of Japanese cars is that the only cars that are worth buying is the type R's or the SR's. If you factor that they are the top engines of their respective makers (nismo or v-tech) they would not fair well against the top engines of Ford, GM or Crystler. Compare those cars to a Boss 302 with mods or a ZR1. SRTs also. For ever japanese 4cylinder america has one to beat it. Neon SRT 4, Cobalt SS, Focus too. Just saying. Our economy is bad enough. Buy america

  • @cucomberedpickles Actually, try building an STI. The damn stroker kit is more for that than a 408 stroker kit or my 351w! There are plenty of cheap ways to get power out of a V8. Timing, nitrious(if properly done), a little bit of pocket porting on the heads/intake.

    uhh last time I checked, the faster and more you get air in and out of ANY motor the more horsepower you produce. If you put a cam with more lift and longer duration than the stock cam to a certain extent on any car, you WILL make more power. Power increases depend on the size of the cam, the tuning, the timing, fuel delivery and octane used that corresponds with the compression ratio.

  • @assassin7420 it cost 3500 for a good paxton supercharger, 70 for some injectors 200 for a intake manifold, 50 for a hi flow filter and 300-500 for a good tune, it cost 2000 for a sr20det, and 1000 for a good garret turbo, and 500 for some heads, 500 for some forged pistons. 350 rwhp on the fox body, 370rwhp on the 240, BUT 240's weigh around at a minimum 400 lbs less, so for the same money the 240 is cheaper when it comes to forced induction also 5.0 blocks go boom around 500hp sr's dont

  • @2bidfilmsguy Um...... You need to factor in a LOT more in that 240 build. You can just go buy a GT3071R on a stock manifold and bullshit your way to "370whp". You would need to change out the whole hotside of the engine, Not to mention the fact that the engine only has one head, and you cant just go out and buy one like you can with V8's. Also, 500whp out of an SR is asking a LOT. Anything over 450whp your looking at fully built engines.

  • @assassin7420 yes but youtube limits my comment to 500 characters so I couldn't say everything, and for about 3500 dollars I recently " bullshitted" my way to actually 412 rwhp on 102 octane so at least 380 on 93 pump gas. I helped a buddy build it, and with careful searching we found everything we needed for a little under 3500 dollars( mainly because we lifted an engine from a 240 that had been badly rear ended) And I found a garret 71mm turbo at a garage sale for $100, from an old lady.

  • There's nothing wrong with an American v8, especially the ford small block. It's light and powerful (light compared with SBC and mopar anyway) and fox bodies can corner with most japanese cars... Well, until you try to work on a ford, anyway. I've got a v6 4thgen stang... Haynes says otherwise, but from experience it is IMPOSSIBLE to pull the engine without the tranny. the engine is literally up against the firewall.

  • Night and day, The car is a LOT faster now. It no longer cuts out at high rpms/speed. I have other videos of the car running tuned.

  • Pretty self explanatory, The stock ECU cut the fuel to the engine. Thus why it seems like I let off the gas. However, My foot was still all the way in it.

  • 1) foxbody mustangs never came supercharged from the ford factory 2) i have a 85.5 mustang svo sitting in my drtiveway it is 2.3l turbo 3) i also have a 1990 240sx hatchbakc with sr20det 4) the sr20 240sx walks the svo and another fact is the svo walks a stock 5.0 mustang so tell me that sr was racing a 4cyl mustang cuz  the 4cyl mustang would be right behind the 4cyl 240! this is a acurate video . wen u get ur facts straight u can post ur knowlage chief!
