That stretch of road brings so many memories...i lived in Napier for 7 years, went to Taupo/Tongariro like every school holiday...i still remember all the points hwere i got sick, the car overheated etc. U should have included the dairy on top of the hill, and the Easkdale CHurch too that church always reminded me i was nearly home

Wow! Considering this was shot out of a car window, it's damn good quality with minimum sound. I'm very impressed! Props to you guys on a great video!

Oh no, it was taken inside the car hence why there was not that much noise.

Nice shots! I often drive from Hamilton to Taupo - lve in Hams, work in Taupo sometimes.

Did you spend any/much time in the Taupo area - or just drive through to Napier?

We drove on to Hastings actually which is where I am from. I took my wife and kids to Huka Falls on the way back to Auckland.
