  • Excellent vid, great memories :). Bloody Greg Dyke axed it, he chickened out of a meeting with Giant Haystacks about the situation, Haystacks would have clobbered him. Anyway Dyke got his comeuppance when the BEEB axed him, LOL.

  • This isn't actually from World of Sport: it's from after World of Sport had been axed and wrestling was a standalone show (1985-88).

These titles were slightly tweaked for use on the Wrestling Channel/Fight Network. The original version would have the venue and match line-up for that week's show.

The Nagasaki challenges were just for the local audience and had nothing to do with WWF.

  • I love how much they used ragtime style music during the late 70s to the early 80s

  • Why is there a clip of Hulk Hogan in the intro? lol.

  • I know at one point Kendo Nagasaki was issuing challenges to Hogan, and I assume he eventually answered and they had a match. Not positive on that though.

  • I never heard of that match, it would've been great to see though. Infact, it could still happen, although it wouldn't be as good as it would have been 20-25 years ago of course.

  • WoS also shown WWF.

  • @AlexDCl

Becuase from 1987 onwards, they would sometimes have WWF Specials in place of World Of Sport.
