Swapped out the stock relay under the dash with an electronic relay. You can get these from vleds, or superbrightleds. Then you can have a mix of normal bulbs, leds, or all of either. Resistors are horrible to deal with. I would never do them when this is a simply 10 minute unplug old relay, plug in new relay and you're done type of deal. No worring about splicing wires or anything like that as you would with resistors...etc.
u live in my state maybe u can help me with this problem from here i bought led for front and they blink fast and i didnt get the rear ones will it still be fast once i put the rear ones in as well or will i need a resistor?
If it was night and raining those would probably be a big problem for people following. Good to know LEDs dont suck anymore. Time to get some reverse lights so i can see through my tint a little better
Yeah the new 7440/7443 bulbs from VLEDS are like 80 bucks now for the pair. Very pricey, do you think they are worth it? Did you install the load resistor or did swap out your flasher with the LED type?
Not sure.. honestly, I'd probably have to get them on sale.. .but according to their site they are redesigned and even brighter so that's probably why they upped the price... I however don't like that, if you improve on soemthing keep it the same price as before... Apple does this(note I am NOT an apple fan boy..lol)
I got an electronic flasher relay so now all the turns signals whether all leds, bubls/mix of both will all blink at the same time, simple plug and play.
They probably will shine through the dark tint.. but anytime you have tint on taillights though you are loosing a ton of visibility.. youtube won't let me type a link in here for some reason but it's v-leds dot com
my bulbs are 744-/7443. and I used the high power 7watt bulbs.. they changed the design and have a new one out now.. kinda pricey at $80 a pair though...
Looks great, but can't see myself spending $80 on a pair of bulbs.

Happy I made the switch!
