@moo3992 in " from mars to serious" they mostly play in D standard with some songs in drop C ( top string tuned down from D standard) however in the way of all flesh they mostly play drop C not d standard

I agree with you about them being the best metal band on the planet right now, especially since Vitek died. Decapitated were the only band in my eyes that could hold a candle to Gojira's song writing.

Mate i completely disagree with u, the new album is fucking epic, it's a completely new genre of music in it's self. Some of the rythem changes and harmonics are crazy. I have no idea how they write their music

They're heavily influenced by Meshuggah. I prefer Gojira, but you Meshuggah definitely rhythmically kicks the fuck out of Gojira or any other band.

But yeah, the new album is fucking PERFECT.

My favorite metal release in at least two years.

Come on dude...the new album is not perfect. The third track is a disgrace. I've deleted it off my iPod and computer. And that douchebag from Lamb Of God manages to ruin All The Tears with his pigshit awful voice. The rest of the album is fucking incredible and no mistake. But perfect? Nah.

And Gojira are my favourite contemporary band by miles too.

i saw em 2 years ago with trivium and anhilator and i too hadn't heard of em n they pretty much turned me right off trivium coz gojira stole the show. Made the rest o the bands look hopeless

at the gig i was at manchester apollo, trivium were headlining, gojira played 2nd after sum crappy band then annihilator came on n fucked up the atmosphere gojira had created n trivium made it no better.
