I just had to come back to say this song would be alot better if the chorus was different (fortune cookies with secret advisory lol wtf?) and that weird horn section in the beginning of the song and after the 1st chorus just sounds so weird.. Saxaphone solo sounds cool though and the keyboards in the BG sound nice as well I just think the chorus and that horn section are mad weird. Don't get me wrong I'm a vai fan I like weird I just think those 2 parts are out of place for this song.

Personally, I like the funky vibe of this one, with some winds and keys added into the mix. I'm definitely buying the CD and I've got friends who will as well, so candyrat is obviously doing something right.

Technique is all but a tool for creating and playing music. Music can be awesome at almost any level, and many times good technique doesn't cut it neither. There's so much more to music than just technique. Not that I'm saying McKee or the others are only bout technique but you get the idea.

For that matter, this guy is skilled no matter how you see it. Just in another way than McKee and the others. About liking his music or not, well, each to their own.

hey, bananamusician. I think I know maybe why many (including me) dislike candyrat at the moment. I think many of us subscribers to this channel expect the same kind of amazing music candyrat has given us up to now.

The amazing kind of artists they sign are rarely seen anywhere else than under their label. that's why we expect them to continue being the best label in the world at the moment, and don't sign artist we will forget about in 10 min. We want music that last!

But as you might know, candyrat isn't the kind of label that just signs people for quick easy money and media exploitation like some of the bigger labels, and I can't see how this signing this artist would be any different. It might be a bit more different from the other artists on here of course, but personally I think that he actually has his own original sound and style that shouldn't be compared with the rest of the candyrat peeps.

I think it's easier to remember a song then a composition. I think nobody in the world, so also a recordlabel, should focus on only one kind of music. Of course candyrat is famous by guitarprodigy's. But people like Nicholas Barron, Matthew Santos, Justin Taylor, etc.. are also exceptionaly good in the things they do. The good thing about candyrat is that they really focus on the people who understand, feel and breath music. musicians like Barron get more people listening to the best label ever

I mentioned santos and taylor cause they are singer songwriters.. just like Barron. I don't think their skill in guitar playing differ that much. Also i mentioned it for the thing you said your first post and youre reaction on me. I think you speak against yourself when saying you only want candyrat to focus on prodigy's like Andy. but later on you say how fantastic Santos and Taylor are. The only thing the same about those people is that they play guitar and in even that they are different.
