dont let her sleep with you! you might roll over on her and kill her! that is how my parrot died.. my dad fell asleep with him on the couch and he crawled down to snuggle and my dad rolled over on him in his sleep :( i miss him so much.

I Shocked to know that these animals are sold in the US!! only because they are cute.. :( the are living animals and need proper care!I work with these animals and I know the are cute. but they live in family groups, it's a stupid idea to keep one or two at home! I love these monkeys but the do not belong in a home...

Yea but you have to be qualified to buy one you cant just go and pick it up at a pet store like a hamster! I have a marmoset and he has a great home and love us and is a great addition to our family

I've had a couple of these adorable creatures and i can say they do need a lot of attention. Mine used to go to my bedroom every morning to wake me up, and follow me around the house. They never use litter box. So you gotta keep cleaning the house all the time, or it's gonna get a characteristic smell from it's urine. And get used to scratches and bites on everything made of wood of any soft material. It's advisable to keep at least two of them, so they don't feel so alone.

Here in Brazil they can be easily found in nature, speccially on the northeast region, where the weather is tropical. Unfortunately a lot of people buy them illegaly and don't take the special care that it needs. Here to buy it legally you gotta have a special auhtorization and buy from authorized dealers also. It costs around US$ 1000.00 each.

they can become agressive. Especially if they are kept by themselves without others of thier kind. once they reach maturity they change. Also many suffer from emotional and psycological problems due to lack of proper care, not enough stimulation and enrichment, and other factors.

Owning a monkey is like having a child. You have to spend lots of time with it and raise it to be emotionally strong or it will be an agressive monkey. Also if you have two they will do better. But like I said, you have to dedicate all your free time to them. Full time job son!!

btw!! its a common marmoset not a pygmy marmoset isnt it?? its the same breed i had and that a common marmoset also known as a white tufted marmoset and again shes gorgeous.

No..its pretty much globally illegal to have any primate as a pet..but the exotic pet trade continues obviously bc there's big money to be made..I don't advocate it, but as long as its owner does not abuse and takes care of its animal then thats all that counts..
