In HM Cute, you could have a 'best friend's ceremony' and essentially be a lesbian and adopt a child but the option was deleted from the English release. If you liked this, you should've tried the one for the PSX (ported from the N64 with more events). It's what first introduced most of the concepts that are used in modern Harvest Moon games :)

LOL, and when I first got it I played for like, literally.. 12 hours straight. I don't think I've ever done that with a video game before. BTW, fishing is an incredibly lucrative thing when you have your stamina built up, a good rod, and have some of the areas unlocked. I was loaaaaded just from fishing in a very short period of time.
As a fan of the Harvest Moon series since the original, I was immensely pleased with this title, and I think it has surpassed my Harvest Moon 64 as being my favorite in the series. :)

@Iviqrr I was in the same situation as you a few weeks ago. I decided to go with ToT, even though lots of people said that AP is better. I love tree of tranquility, it is very fun! There could be more animals and faster loading screens(both fixed in AP) But i don't think you will be disappointed with either one (:

This game is like ALL harvest moon games. You start, spend time trying to aquire things which is fun but after the first year begin to think "What's the point!?" I hate the series and love it.

You should also think about trying Rune Factory Frontier it is a VERY good harvest moon like game the only difference is that you can fight monster and level up make weapons and armor like in a RPG, but the main point is still to make yourself a farm find a girl to marry and so on.
@Bnsmith93 it depends. If you don't like games that take a LONG time to complete, then this isn't the right game for you. But if you like role play games where you can basically create a life for your character, then you'll LOVE this game. I myself am obsessed. Also, there is Harvest Moon: Animal Parade for the Wii. It's a lot like this one. Some say it's better, some say it's worse. I think they're both fantastic!!
The sad part about this game is that it really only has 1.40 GB of data (the rest is padded data), and still manages to annoy with the loading screens.

I just heard from my cousin that this game has mutliplayer, but looking at the videos and surfing around a bit it looks like the only multiplayer it really has is for the minigames, am I correct?

instead of pickign your crops as soon as you can pick them. give them two or three more days. keep watering them. Then, you'll have all shining, and perfect crops, and sometimes good crops. but not really.
Strawberrys go for around 600 for perfect.
hondew around 750.
with 11 rows of honewdew. 44 of the honewdew picked was perfect. and i made 27,000 off that batch of honewdew.
anissa is teh easiest. pick herbs off the ground, give me. you'll get a heart.
make sure you do all the heart events she invites you too. even the one where she asks you to grow a flower (don't aciddentally sell it like i did > .> i forgot to give it to her)

I have a whole section devoted for trees and i prob get like.. 2000 penya total from it for a whole month.

I love this game. I have Tree of Tranquility, Magical Melody, Animal Parade, A Wonderful Life, Another Wonderful Life, DS, DS Cute, Mineral Town, and More Friends of Mineral Town.
I love loading screens, they are adorable for this game and the don't have the title on the loading screens like SOME GAMES. *looks at Drawn To Life: The Next Chapter(Wii)* But I also have City Folk, I lost Wild World, and my brother broke the GameCube one. I am going to save up to get the copies. *hides piggy bank*
Tree of Tranquility is probably one of the best harvest moon games I just wish that each district and building was not separate!! So you wouldn't have to wait!!!!

@NorthernWaterTribe15 It's awesome fun, but it can get a little repetitive at times~ that's when you should plant things to take care of, and buy animals so you have something to look forward to doing until the next big event :)

Animal Parade isn't out here, in the UK. I hope it's released soon, though. I'm a huge Harvest Moon fan, my favourite game in the series would be have to be A Wonderful Life on Nintendo Gamecube. I just got Tree of Tranquility today, I haven't played much, but I'm sure I'll become just as addicted to this as I was with the previous titles.
@hananonee you can be both genders in both games, however. i found that in ToT the main storyline was very confusing and dificult, and well.. boring. But in AP its much funner and the storyline is awesome its not as hard as the other one. i also refuse to buy used games but i do love gamestop because they have a large variety of games there. and but not every game is used. i have bought all 21 of my wii games there, new, and they work perfectly.
I've only played Harvest Moon DS Cute, Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town for GBA, Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland for PS2, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life for GC, and Harvest Moon: Magical Melody for GC and my favorite will always me A Wonderful Life. Magical Melody confused the crap outta me because I had no idea where I was going. I liked the two like, most used towns (i think): Forget-Me-Not Valley and Mineral Town. I'm thinking of buying ToT but the town looks a bit confusing.
The most of the time you spend with walking from a place to another. The time runs to fast! No chance to do anything because the island is so big! Even the navigation is bad. What I miss, is the mystical athmosphere...all this is gone I can't explain it =(

i loved magical melody personally but to be honest it gets boring after you free the goddess and have your kid and upgrades then you lose motivation. My friend is getting this game this weekend and bringing it to my house to play. Well have to see how this goes.

I love this game. I have Tree of Tranquility, Magical Melody, Animal Parade, A Wonderful Life, Another Wonderful Life, DS, DS Cute, Mineral Town, and More Friends of Mineral Town.
I love loading screens, they are adorable for this game and the don't have the title on the loading screens like SOME GAMES. *looks at Drawn To Life: The Next Chapter(Wii)* But I also have City Folk, I lost Wild World, and my brother broke the GameCube one. I am going to save up to get the copies. *hides piggy bank*

Tree of Tranquility is probably one of the best harvest moon games I just wish that each district and building was not separate!! So you wouldn't have to wait!!!!

In my opinion, anyways. Everything was too small and I really didn't like the look of it.

@NorthernWaterTribe15 It's awesome fun, but it can get a little repetitive at times~ that's when you should plant things to take care of, and buy animals so you have something to look forward to doing until the next big event :)

Animal Parade isn't out here, in the UK. I hope it's released soon, though. I'm a huge Harvest Moon fan, my favourite game in the series would be have to be A Wonderful Life on Nintendo Gamecube. I just got Tree of Tranquility today, I haven't played much, but I'm sure I'll become just as addicted to this as I was with the previous titles.

@hananonee you can be both genders in both games, however. i found that in ToT the main storyline was very confusing and dificult, and well.. boring. But in AP its much funner and the storyline is awesome its not as hard as the other one. i also refuse to buy used games but i do love gamestop because they have a large variety of games there. and but not every game is used. i have bought all 21 of my wii games there, new, and they work perfectly.

I've only played Harvest Moon DS Cute, Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town for GBA, Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland for PS2, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life for GC, and Harvest Moon: Magical Melody for GC and my favorite will always me A Wonderful Life. Magical Melody confused the crap outta me because I had no idea where I was going. I liked the two like, most used towns (i think): Forget-Me-Not Valley and Mineral Town. I'm thinking of buying ToT but the town looks a bit confusing.

The most of the time you spend with walking from a place to another. The time runs to fast! No chance to do anything because the island is so big! Even the navigation is bad. What I miss, is the mystical athmosphere...all this is gone I can't explain it =(

i loved magical melody personally but to be honest it gets boring after you free the goddess and have your kid and upgrades then you lose motivation. My friend is getting this game this weekend and bringing it to my house to play. Well have to see how this goes.
