I think this game was so hard for children, because it is completely exploratory. It doesnt have anything linear like stages as Mario Bros and others. You can make you path and your destiny without fases. This game was really hard.

I had the Tandy Version of this game. That version had better music, less glitchy graphics, and the caves were shown as stone arches rather than invisible spot or on the vultures. The swinging robes were eliminated and replaced by platforms instead. The game also gave you instructions on what to do after you leave the underworld. But the NES version is terrible.
