@freeqwerqwer That is funny you should say that, because I was struck the EXACT opposite way... Most other recordings/performances I have seen of this are MUCH too contrived and the performer works way too hard. Maybe the fact that this is an audio recording makes it more difficult to decipher. He seems very sincere and charming and in fact, in my opinion, I find that he has a better understanding of this piece than anyone! Watch his masterclass video for this piece.
