  • I've seen this video 20 or so times and still laugh like the first time......Great job and great dancing........Thanks for posting it.........................

  • 5 years later, still a big smile from me to you

  • sooo New Orleans. :)

  • LOL LOL Happy go lucky fella.. new meaning to the song "whistle while ya work!" Ya Katrina was a mean one to deal with. Ya, I 'm from the N O area too.. so I am familar with what on.. and the after effect.s and still to this day, things are not right.. Thanks for the laugh, needed this today!! He needs to go put his resume in with Chippendales, or the Suburban club in Gretna.. LOL God Bless ya'll! LOL

  • For years, this has been one of my favorite go-to videos whenever I need a smile or I just need to show people how we roll here in New Orleans. Plus, hello, you've got mad moves, you hot ass man!!! MWAH! Keep it real, sexy thing!

  • Dude, Joe that was great. I live in lakeview and remember very well when the whole area looked like that. As far as the 32 douches that dislike this, oh well there probably from California or something. You guys are just the kinds of crazy asses that would make fun drinking buddies. Speaking of..........beer time. cheers from NOLA.

  • @1LSUredneck Wow a comment where you aren't talking shit. You must be in a good mood over your dad FINALLY letting you suck his dick again. We all know how you southern rednecks get down.

  • @bigjamesbrown I only talk shit about dumb ass people that need to see what the real world is about. Let's not even call it talking shit, but giving out a reality check. As far as the dick sucking comment, James Brown sucked plenty of dick in his days. Damn, screen names really do say a lot about the person behind them. Happy Kwanza asshole.

  • @1LSUredneck Yeah that's the real world coming on youtube giving "reality checks" of hate messages to people cause you're pussy and you know they would kick your ass in real life. My screen name isn't named after that James Brown that you are talking about. You suck at talking shit just to let you know, but Im gonna let you get back to sucking your daddy's dick ok.

  • @bigjamesbrown Dude you seem to know a lot about me and my "style". Are you some kind of stalker? Get over it, let it go. You don't need to lose sleep over what I say. People put stuff on you tube and make it open for criticism from all sides. If your that interested in what i have to say, then by all means keep reading. FYI, I do say nice things..when they are warranted. Unlike this local video, I guess I watch too many ignorant videos. Hence the responses. This video is just cool. Good day.

  • Hey Joe! Love your video. I think i have found your look-alike? A bit further north, still Lousiana....i sent a vid response to you..mary

  • Still enjoying and looking for an official sequel.

  • I love you.

  • Love that "Karate Kid" move!

  • this is the sexiest thing i have ever seen

    <3 from Lakeview

    almost 5 years later!

  • Favorite YouTube video

  • yeah you right! that's the way NOLA celebrates and deals!

  • I miss New Orleans!!!!

  • What?

  • Just freaking awesome!!! Love it!

  • Say brah, any other city in America would be abandoned after a disaster like Katrina. New Orleans is the only city in America that can rebuild after a hit like that. Why? Because of people like this. Bad shit happens, but we're still alive. Now lets get the party started. Laissez les Bon temps roulez. Ya heard me?

BTW, I can't wait until 7 Feb 2010. WHO DAT?!!!

  • @ls1z28chris my man this last line made me smile who dat indeed

  • This video right here shows you just how AWESOME Louisiana is.

    WHO DAT!

  • lol.

    very funny.

    5 stars.

  • Well...Hell....I had to watch this video twice. After I recovered from the shock and was able to pick up my jaw after it hit the floor (first time I watched it), I was able to laugh and this guy had me cracking up the whole time. Nice moves...sexy even. At one point I thought he was going to climb that pole and do some striping ; ) LOL

  • From one NO native to another - Nice moves bro!

For those of you offended, you have to understand what the point of the video is. The only reason New Orleans has been able to survive is because of its ability to have fun and get crazy even in its worst times.

    Yeah you right!

  • you go my darlin its a nawlins thang thats how we roll baybay

  • the belt. it serves no purpose. the belt.

  • @SuperJitan ...uhm okay douchcake..the belt is obviously for spankings.

  • HAHAHA!

this guy is a beast. keep it rockin lol

  • Yall ROCK! I have to view this ever now and then. I first saw it about year and a half ago, maybe longer. I have to come back and rock wit ya!

  • this is some good shit. i was here during spring break and im coming back this summer to help the city rebuild.

  • LOVE IT!

  • Damn

what kind of anti depressants yall got

shit i wish could've gotten my hands on them after the storm

  • We've been taking Humorex since childhood. It keeps us sane. (barely...) You can also get it in it's generic form, Absurdicil.

  • @captainpeppito

That and the drive through daiquiri shops on every other street corner. Bars open 24/7/364. Liquor at the grocery. It also helps if the people in the area are downright crazy.

  • This may seem odd, but my DOG actually watched this entire viedo. I've never had a dog that paid the slightest bit of attention to this type of thing, but my new right-hand man is very keen on two-dimensional media, apparently. Let's just say that there is a Labrador in Los Angeles who is poised to do the Ed Lover dance and has a heart for New Orleans. I'm not sure if it was the music or the dancing that attracted the dog, but he honestly watched the whole thing.

  • Fukin right!! :D

  • yawn...

  • Why do people get so worked up? It's not like your friend is dancing on top of a bodybag...

  • That was amazing!

I'm from New Orleans (Westbank) & I lost a few things but, I have to say that this is the best way to deal with the situation. Laugh a little bit - it'll make you feel better.

    Thank you for this video!

  • Thank you for watching!

  • @OCCxHarleyRider

Westbank! Dude I get confused every time I watch the news. You know there is a westbank in the Middle East? Gets me every time. lol

  • lol that was funny yall was by 9th ward?

  • I'm a nola native who rode out Katrina and lost plenty. That aside, this video is just plain funny. Lighten up guys, satire is part of our culture, if you were local, you'd get that.

  • The locals who "get it" are the reason we even made the video in the first place. I love the city. Otherwise I wouldn't still be here. Thanks for stopping by!

  • YA U RITE!

  • fuck ya. i love it.

  • Eat a bowl of dicks. Actually, the guy in the video and myself are both from New Orleans, both lived there during Hurricane Katrina, and both lost quite a bit in the storm. I was homeless for several months afterward. That doesn't mean you can't find some humor and light-heartedness in the situation. Take your bullshit indignation elsewhere.

  • I grew up in NOLA, now live in NC. This post serves as a perfect illustration of the difference in the 2 cultures. Living in NC is one hell of a lot easier, but livin' in NOLA is one hell of a lot more fun.

  • Get off your high horse. Endlessjoe and Captainpepito are both from New Orleans and lived through Katrina. If anyone can get a laugh out of the situation, its them.

  • Explains your anger, yall don't know how to have no fun!

    WHO DAT!

  • sorry uncwboy for you losses, but this video has nothing to do w/ those things you mentioned. It's about the SPIRIT OF NEW ORLEANS, therefore you have no reason to be offended. If you don't get it, that's ok....since you're not from 'Nawlins you won't get it!

  • Sorry, but if you were actually FROM New Orleans, you might get this video. Stop Shit-Talking awesome videos.

  • lol typical nawlins

    ...i love New Orleans

  • I just re-watched this from like 2.5 years ago. And submitted it to Reddit. Love it!

  • You are the wind beneath my wings.

  • hahahaha omg hahaha love those moves

  • John Snell loves you

  • this video is great i can never stop watching it funny to and what is that song i want to know now

  • I keep coming back to this video.

  • dude put a shirt on pleeeeeeze. make that two shirts! but thats funny, lol.

  • I'm so glad there are weird people in America. Life wouldn't be any fun without them.

Now, we need a Post Gustav sequel.

  • I could never watch this too many times.

    Love it.

  • adding it to my favs.. lmfao

    i love peppitos dancing! lol

  • This is great. I love the moves this cat has. Definitely a super star.

  • This will remain a favorite of mine. For the sake of those who don't live in New Orleans, y'all should do a "Where Y'at New Orleans - Redux", so people can see that the city is still down, but definitely not OUT!

  • i live in new orleans it is funny. everyone needs a laugh.

  • more like stbernardtardhead

  • ick

  • Nice moves Peppito.

  • you and your BF are the funniest guys on the web!

  • this isn't just about nawling man. this is about life! you can laugh or cry...OR you can just sail thru on some funky ass dance moves!

  • Muchas gracias! You are loved in return!

  • New Orleans is forever in my blood & bones... Saddens me to see my New Orleans looking so dire even now 2 years post-K. But the spirit of New Orleans is powerful and depicted well in this video & song, I love this video!

  • haha!!! im a victim of Katrina nd this made me crack up!! LMAO!!!

  • naw man, didn't you learn anything from catain p's dance? you ain't a victim of katrina. katrina is a victim of YOU!

  • tht's true...

  • I came.

  • get it boy! dance dance dance!

  • I MUTHA' FKN LOVE THIS VIDEO, MAN!

  • Apparently the Spirit of New Orleans lives on, and not just for Mardi Gras. I don't know else to say, except I've see this guy or his clones at virtually every NFL game!!!!

  • Down in New Orleans, Do it, and do it like there aint no tomorrow...!!! love NOLA baby

  • you gotts be from here to truely appreciate the humerous side of incompetence.

  • fuck that cp3 whoody hoo

  • One of my all-time favorite videos.

  • Why the hell wasn't this featured?

  • heh! thanks! it's one of my favorites too! :)

  • This is one of the very few videos that I always come back to and watch. You guys are the funniest fuckers around!

  • highly appreciated, pal!

  • whats the name of that song and artist?

  • The only thing that makes me really mad, is that places are still not open. I lived in Lakeview, and there are a lot of people comming in to help. But if they help with the recovery, nothing else matters. I LOVE NOLA!!!!

  • And remember when the Lakefront had traffic going in both directions on the weekends, talk about a party! Yes, those were the good ole days. I miss them soooooo........much!!!!!! 70124EVER

  • oh mercy, we needed that!

  • You make us in da 70124 PROUD!

  • Hi, Im from Lakeview too. Are you still living there??? And if so, WHERE?!

  • Let Me Clear My Throat

  • Neutral Agreement - let me clear my throat

  • Jason, Will you be my baby daddy?

  • OMG, thats my childhood home he's dancing in front of when the music starts!! Very sad

  • This is soooo Funny... Im seeing a ot of lakeview.. :)

  • Thank you for expressing yourself.

  • nola home sweet home

  • being from the 504 im picken up what your puttin down! Bra!!!

  • THAT WAS TOO FUNNY

  • This is ART. It belongs in the Smithsonian. Ya'll are brilliant.

  • I love it

  • at least this video shows a little creativity

  • I'm from New Orleans (livin on the Bestbank) and I was depressed looking at all the Hurricane footage videos then I clicked on yours ready to be depressed again but you CRACKED ME UP!! I could never leave NOLA because of all the great neighbors. You take the good with the bad. Thanks for cheering me up.

  • There's no other place like it, for sure. I'd rather deal with the hardships of living in one of the most unique cities in the world than coast through life in Anywhere, USA.

  • thank you, joe...you said it all right there. God bless NOLA and the Saints. We are well on our way back baby!

  • AMEN Brother!!!! I'm from New Orleans. I can tell you it's not fun coasting through life in Florida. Can't wait until I can return. Sometimes, the kids and I put on "ain't no place to pee on Mardi Gras day" and dance around. We keep the spirit alive the best way we can.

  • Love seeing someone still can turn shit into sunshine, aint that what NOLO ALway did for America. Thanks Endless Joe for the memory, and the laugh! Keep hanging in there folks, But remember what fun it IS your hangin in there for! GREAT!

  • LMAO-LOVE IT!!!

  • I'm oddly turned on by this video.. it's almost a B rated porno but with better music! :) Not once did I think of donating to Hurricane Katrina funds but I did think of donating to a "cause". Excuse me while I go wash my naughty bits..

  • Really nice

  • someone post or email me with the name/artist of that song. thanks in advance

  • That would be "Let Me Clear My Throat" by DJ Kool

  • I love this video, I can't even count how many times a watched it. I am from New Orleans and we just got out of our FEMA trailor a month ago. This is great man!

  • It's rough being back, for sure. Keep fighting the good fight, brutha.

  • endlessjoe and captain peppito...my hat is off to you both...you guys rock! Loved your video from the Superdome home-opener against the Falcons..I was a transplant to NOLA for 5 yrs for grad school. Long live The Rivershack!

  • Two things caused this problem: hunger or drugs.

  • We lost alot bricks and steel, but not our spirit or sense of humor. Good job.

  • ITS ALL STELL GOOD

  • We need more of this in New Orleans! Keep passin' a good time ya'll!

  • it's like catching a dodo bird in its natural habitat

  • This must as impossible to understand if you're not from New Orleans as it is ABSOLUTELY perfect for anyone from there.

  • Show me a vid of a half naked fat guy dancing among the ruins of our fair city and I will show you the true spirit of New Orleans. It's Crazy mofos like you guys that keep me here. Really now. Would you rather cry in your beer or would you rather dance? I'm for dancin'. Thanks for this. This is the funniest vid on youtube.

  • Ha. Thanks, brutha. It seems like most people in this city could have fun in a third world country. That's the way things should be.

  • This is Funny! Keep it up!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA nice

  • Where Y'at, New Orleans wher is part 2 thats good shit just what it looks like lil huemer is cool

  • P.S. If you ever need back up dancers for a redux 2 with tons of people dancing, let me know I'll be there! LOL !

  • I cant stop watching this video. I watch it every few days. It makes me laugh my ass off & makes me want to get up & dance at the same time. I'll buy you both a beer if I ever see you out.

    -Chris (nawlins native too)

  • this gets funnier every time I see it.

  • Very "Fiddler on the roof." Excellent.

  • You rode it out, but did you get flooded? did you have to come back and clean mold and resheetrock and do all of that shit? Im from Mid City, and i can laugh at this without being offended. you should be able to also

  • absolute genius!

  • bless you guys! this is the first thing having to do with katrina that my husband (nopd) has been able to laugh at. we both laughed ourselves silly....it was such a ray of hope! thanks!

  • ahhh very very nice of you!!! we are quite proud of this video. thanks a lot.

  • HILARIOUS!!! The true spirit of NOLa...finding a good time in spite of all the devastation. Makes me "proud to call it home".

  • Nice job on the videos. Thanks for the grins. Dave Szwak in Shreveport

  • haha!

  • This is just the kind of foolishness that will keep this city going. Thanks for enlivening my evening and....I am embarrassed to say that I have watched this way too many times...LOL

  • Be not ashamed! The seductive call of the video demands it. No mere mortal can resist.

  • "This is just the kind of foolishness that will keep this city going."

fucking indeed!! foolishness is always needed.

  • What a perfect way to start off August 29, 2006! A little laughter from someone besides our illustious mayor. Keep it up, I can use all the help I can get. By the way, when is Frank Davis going to claim paternity?

  • Just want to say thanks!! I'm a Gretna fireman who grew up in New Orleans East. My mom, and grandmother still lived there until the storm, and lost everything. I made out a litter better. Seeing this video on the one year mark of Katrina really makes me feel alot better. Thanks guys I owe yall a few beers!!!

  • Hey, thanks for watching compadre. Always glad to bring a smile to the face of fellow New Orleanians. Here's hoping we fare a little better this season.

    *salute*

  • oh wow! that means a lot dude! thanks!

  • Captain Pepito and Jack Black: Seperated at birth?

  • Thanks once again to New Orleans for bringing all the crazy to the yard. Dance moves such as these rightly deserve to be the envy of the entire civilized world, and I can only hope that when Los Angeles meets it's inevitable fate, we will stand a fair chance against NOLA in a funky cage match. I love this video. I don't know whether to laugh, cry, or do the Ed Lover dance. I can't wait to visit your fair city again, and don't worry about tidying up. What's a little mess between friends?

  • There is never a time when doing the Ed Lover dance is inappropriate. Break it down, proudly ... in the most public of places! Here's to funk in the face of disaster.

  • Explicit instructions on how to execute the Ed Lover dance should be mandatory in all FEMA disaster preparedness leaflets, not to mention relief packages. Too bad Brownie didn't have the funk.

  • I have watched this 10 times today. Freaking awesome!

  • Heh. Thank you muchly.

  • Too much... thank for the smile you crazy f'in native louisianaian... like all of us.... thanks great music perfect touch

  • Funky fat white man for Mayor.

  • Nagin is trembling as we speak.

  • We are ALL trembling after watching that video!!! LOL But in a good way.

  • The foot work after the tree spin was priceless!! You are one funny dude!!!!

  • LMFAO! You crazy bastards are too funny! Hey man, when life gives you lemons...Make lemon hooch, get ripped and make some cool assed vids! I love you guys...Ya'll got a fan for life here brotha's!

  • Oh my god, I think I love you!

This kind of thing is why I can't wait to move back home!

  • i love this video!

  • that guy can dance....seriously dance.
