Aww you're doing so well getting through this. I've had this since august 2010 and at my worst my pressure got to 49...it was agonizing. I'm still getting headaches and waiting for a decision what to do next.. i'm only on the medication at the moment. But i'm trying to keep positive :)
@VDubsTDi hi. Yes they can save your eyes. I´ve had IIH for one year, and they still say that i can get more view back. It takes one-two years before the eyes stop getting better. You just have to be positive and hope every day, that you will get better. Because if your not positive, its wont be easy :)
im glad you did not go compleatly blind i too have IIH and only found out in oct 2010 when they did my pressure it was 40 i haven't had a shunt (yet) it still may be a possibility. i have lost some of my field of vision in my left eye and im on medication but i still get headaches etc just not as bad as before the medication
@joannegreathead Thank u :) I have also been on medication even though I have a shunt, but they took it because i got too low pressure. I do still have some few head aches, but the doctor says that, it is because the pressure is on way up, but the shunt takes it away.
But i wish u all the best in the future... And hope u will get it better :)
@joannegreathead U will probably always have headaches. My pressure is normal now, but i still have headaches, but they say its totally normal to have headaches even though your pressure is normal when you have IIH. So you will get used to haveing a headache. But just stay positive, and it will be ok :)
