Do ya know if the new Asus Eee 1215N will be able to run 64-bit W7 or is it locked in the BIOS ro prevent switching to x64? (it ships with 32-bit W7).
@DonAdwick i currently do not know that. ill will be getting 1215n on release date but im not gonna do 64bit untill someone confirms on eee user forums, just to keep it on the safe side. it should run 64 but...who knows, maybe asus doesnt want us to run 64 bit
@DonAdwick you're talking to a guy with lightning fast responses (has no life)...just dont catch me when im sleeping. i know there are plenty of people running 64 bit on the 1201 but stuck with 3gb of ram...not really worth it. though the drivers are out...i personally think it will be rough to do if they dont release the drivers for the 1215n right away...if you got the free OS, try it. ill see if i can beg the school to give me a free one to mess with
@DonAdwick yea, i want 8gb on a netbook to say i have a netbook with 8gb of ram to make people flip over and cry that their crappy dell wont ever be as good as my netbook xD
@DonAdwick anyways, im thinking about making another video soon...school starting soon and ill be one busy asian guy. gonna do that game test and installing games on a netbook...since people bother me about that too.
@DonAdwick gaming on a netbook isnt bad, i like going on the go kinda setting, add me if you like. try gaming on the alien ware m11...that 11 inch one...then again it's dell so FUUUUU
Is it feasible to trade the inner 230/500Gb HDD for a new, let's say, Intel X-25M SSD to boost performance? Would you turn nuts enough to give it a go and still call it a 'reasonable move'?
1201pn only has a single core processor though. hopefully when the nvidia ion 2 (i think that's what it's called) comes out Asus will make another 1201
@emoguitarist06: Exactly. I was excited to read about the 1201pn but after checking the specs, I wasnt too thrilled with the processor. Its a low voltage processor designed to improve on battery life compared to the current 1201n. If longer battery life is important to you, then go for it. However, I prefer the extra power of the dual core and I don't mind the 3.5 hours of battery life with heavy use of my 1201n.
Thanks for the upload zx. It seems that the 1201n is quite capable of running them when you look at the system requirements for the CS3 suite, making me lean more and more towards this little beast. Thanks again.

@zxghost Thanks for replying so fast, man! I guess it will run smoothly on 64 bit, if they ever publish the proper drivers.
Abyway, thanks again!

@zxghost Just one more stupid question to go:
Is it feasible to trade the inner 230/500Gb HDD for a new, let's say, Intel X-25M SSD to boost performance? Would you turn nuts enough to give it a go and still call it a 'reasonable move'?
