Men would show their modesty as well by wearing a veil.
Allah certainly wants men to be modest so that no other woman (except his wife at home) finds him attractive. Thus men should wear a veil just like women.
Also it would be easier for a woman to free herself from spontaneous lascivious thoughts if she doesn't have to look at unveiled faces of men on the street. Thus men should wear a veil to make it easier for women to stay modest as well as staying modest themselves.
