I have a 24" monitor (1920x1200) and I still would not go for Spartan UI. The ridiculous amount of packed and cluttered space makes it look like anyone that could download addons with the curse client could make it...
spartan is for the look and seems alot more like someone was trying to make it look good. tukui seemed like a ui i love would be...simple...easy to use...eliminates a ton of clutter and has lots of potential.
Great Video. I have been using TukUI for a bit now. Can't find this built in DPS meter you mentioned. And, I use a Naga mouse and would love to layout the action bar accordingly, but the only Nage Bar for TukUI I found doesn't work. Get a LUA error. Any suggestions?
TukUI is nice and clean, however even with the GUI Config for it you still can't add more than two bars on the bottom and you have very little control over the layout. Forget Spartan UI, grab Bartender, Titanbar, Shadow Unit Frames and SunnArt. Together you can make your UI exactly how you want (looks similar to SpartanUI). I have a Logitech G13 gamepad so I like to have the bars laid out to match my gamepad (4 rows 6,6,5,3 buttons). Also grab Sexymap so you can customize the minimap.
Tuk UI is indeed an awesome interface to use b/c: a) It takes up less space giving you more room to view the environment and, importantly, b) it uses less memory to run. My only issue and one I'm still unable to figure out is how to disable instant party invites; so if there's someone out there that can help me with this I'd gladly appreciate it.
Spartan isn't bad either imo, it's ideal for someone with a fast pc and also someone who's comfortable with organizing their own raid frames.
Ok so i noticed, you only ran 2 of the Addons that came with TukUI and Ran EVERYTHING that came with SpartanUI. Biased Comparison doesnt make for a good comparison... Be more fair next time if you want to wane other peoples opinions with a video like this. BTW TukUI has like half the shit you need for successful raiding, meaning it takes away from even the regular wow UI, spartan just rearranges and textures...
@Lockjawthestrong The other addon was a different layout usage for raid frames that Tuk included within the UI. If you would like, download the package and look for yourself.
That is because elvui has EVERYTHING in 1, and then you select the second, or third for which layout you want(based on a profile that is premade) Unlike SpartanUI
Oh noes, 2mb for a badass UI, vs a very plain UI. Not to say tuk is bad. But when you have a large monitor, Spartan looks and feels better. However, anything around or smaller than 1280x800 feels cramped.
@hawkn93 I agree. When you're on a laptop, you don't have the option of upgrading to a larger screen usually so I like to make the most out of what I've got.
@hawkn93 Talking about monitor size, jeez there is something called UI size which you can modify between 0.64 and 1.00, monitor size does not apply here.
great video. have some of you people checked out the wow cheats pack on warcraftbotsXinfo (replace X with .) ? its awesome, i recently downloaded it. it's got absolutely everything inside it, gold guides, bots, hacks, glitches and even the newest arena glitch. i perhaps shouldnt tell folks about this however at least this gives you all a reasonable opportunity to download it before i own all of you!
the reason why your chatbox place doesnt move, by enabling different UI addon, is because it is not saved withing the addon variables!! you moron.
those are saved in WTF folder or what ever, but not in your UI variables, ofcourse the chatbox looks like it's on wrong place with Spartan UI, and looks correct (but is sitll on the very same place!! as with) TukUI.
Memory usage is not an issue. My opinion is that if you can make a UI that uses such little resources yet still delivering a powerful one at the same time, I'm going to move to the lower resource using one.

i cant seem to be able to get onto the Spartan Ui website atm.
Also you can make spartan ui smaller for those like me, who hate large space hidden.
Overall Prefer TukUI though :P

to be fair if memory usage of 2.2mb is an issue , you should probably stick to minesweeper.

It looks like you use Tukui more, because the chat frames loaded up in those spots with spartan. I just use bartender for the custom bars.
