It depends on the screen i have a samsung sync master led and i connect my xbox threw hdmi and my computer threw dvi. But mine has a a digital sound output on the back. I think you need to get a special hook up thing for your xbox to play sound not sure. But if you can find a screen with a dvi hook up just get a hdmi to dvi-d hook up and you should be good
