To think that a song like this was on the Billboard pop charts is astonishing. one of her best songs, in my opinion! and no, oldies don't just listen to this. i am 20! o music, what happened to you?
I know Danny doens't like this piece but has there been a better satire of us and our times than this one piece, and the musicians are having such a great time with that spectacular voice of Basia's. Jonathan Swift is smiling somewhere. Stay strong Basia!
I haven't figured out what she sees in the keyboardist Danny White. The guy must be one of those brooding introvert artists. The guy never smiles. If I had a woman that was as beautiful and talented as Basia, I'd have a grin you couldn't get off with a pry bar.
Basia's one of the best international female vocalists in the world. She's been at it for nearly 30 years and can still hit the highs and belt 'em out--with class! For "showwomanship", she's up there with Gloria Estefan and the best of 'em.
You have to see her live; not just a singer but a total entertainer.
My mom would play Basia all the time. This is her favorite. i play it to clean my room just like we used to. This was great music. It's not just for the "old folks" lol we young folks listen too. Some 18 year olds actually like this music..well I do.. let me know if you find anymore. LOL
I saw her in London in September 09. Prime Time was requested by an audience member. She laughed as she recounted that Danny absolutely hates this song. They performed it anyway and the audience loved it. Classy lady indeed. I managed to speak to her after the show and got a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
A little acknowledged fact is that Basia is also one of the best lip-synchers in the business. So her videos are always so cool. A true professional and perfectionist.
the reason i have been blue, is because this was so great, aren't we like a bunch of old folks? but this was real music, not just rhymes with lots of curses to monotonous music. this is real music, for dancing, singing, dreaming, joy, and no britney spears song i ever heard is as good in my opinion. its not like selling sex and needing to grab the crotch like these young guys in the huge pants. ick. so call me old. i know what is good and so do you guys on the you tube with basia
You can tell it's from the late 80s/early 90s because back then people actually gave a damn about how they looked (class). Nowadays all girls care about is who can look the sluttiest. Gosh, now I'm starting to sound like my parents.
I would love to hear Basia sing with ABBA's Agnetha Faltskog, assuming Agnetha sounds as good as she did in those days. What a powerful duo that could be... two strong, pitch-perfect and beautiful voices. Their styles may be different, but the result might be enchanting.
Top class - definately!!! Voice and style! My classmates in primary school were laughing at me because I loved Basia, but now - half of my life later - I know this was the right choice. Her songs will never age!
This music is great! I always loved Basia and she is so underrated! She should be on the radio all the time, its great relaxing but also fun music! Step over Fergie, trashy Madonna, and Kelly Clarkson!

Well the cliche' that "you parents are always right" is someimes valid!
I don't think the current stars will last because they look so cheap.
