  • ITS NOT THE SAME AS ORIGINAL!!!!!!

  • no capo?

  • Thx for the lesson. I'm gonna practice it right now.

  • thank you so much this helped alot

  • by the time i get my guitar strings replaced i`ll start on the tutorial and i`ll let you know how it goes

  • thanks man, that helped a lot. 5/5 stars :) cheerz

  • Thanks, much appreciated!!!!

  • 5 Stars

  • Thanks

  • Great vid mate, could i ask a favour of y?

  • THanks

  • You do a great job of explaining it simply. Thank you.

  • Glad you liked it, thanks for the comment!!!!

  • I believe that you are right except I think the chords go

    G G C9 D

    G G C9 D

    Em D C G

    Em D C G

    Em G Em G

    Em D G

  • Yeah that is what I said, you can pretty much use C9 in place of C any time you like.

  • Nice, I needed the refresher, just got lazy, a refresher is easier! :)

  • Glad it helped, thanks for the comment!!!

  • Awesome! Great video, really useful for beginner guitarists like myself!

  • Thanks

  • awesome lesson, that rly helped me :)

  • Good to hear, thanks for the comment!!!

  • Your videos are very helpful. Thank you. I am subscribed!

  • Glad you like them, thanks for the comment!!

  • For chorus two does the strumming go DDDUDU for all ten chords

  • Yes

  • Brilliant teaching thank you :))

  • No problem, thanks for the comment!!!

  • A really helpful lesson. This is the only video i think which shows the strumming pattern for the second verse(DDDUDU) I had been searching for it since many weeks, but in vain.

    Thanks a lot! :)

  • No problem and thanks for the comment!!!!

  • hi..

This is quite helpful ive gt a month 2 learn this song and trust me im a begginer.. im having a show on the 25 march in front of loooooads of people im realy scared but i hope ur lesson will help me do great ;)

  • Thanks and good luck with your show!!!

  • wonderfull

  • Thanks

  • i can play it well, but when i start singin ánd playing sometimes i can`t remember some words

    so that`s my next step.

i like to play all the songs on your site

    chears

  • Just practice, practice, practice!!! Thanks for the comment!!!

  • can someone help me with when he goes over the chorus? im a beginner so sorry if it sounds stupid. but he has the strum pattern labeled D DU UDU for chorus (C1, C3, C4) and D D DUDU for (C1, C2, C3)... well whats the first patter for C2 and the 2nd for C4? and i could be wrong ill check again but it seems like hes doing the first patter (D DU UDU) on the 2nd line for C3 also..... hope this isnt confusing and thanks for the help!

  • Yep it is entirely possible I am switching between patterns, it does not really matter, these are only suggested patterns. If you prefer you could could use either of them for the whole song or switch between the 2, whatever you prefer.

  • so could u play D DU UDU for the whole song ?

  • Yes definately

  • thanks for the lesson,i play a lot classic music but i nead to play with a singer and so i nead to play more chords.

I play it with my fingers i becaurse i sounds better than a plectrum.

the chords i play with my thumb is that oke?

    chears

  • Yeah strumming with your thumb is fine but I would personally finger pick my way around the chord if I was not using a pic

  • thanks,yeh that`s better!

I play it on my alhambra 3f,and i play it on my telecaster

    thanks for the great advise.

i`m gonna studie all your songs, they`re really cool

  • No problem, and thanks!!!!

  • found this quite easy! doing it in my guitar lesson next week so getting aheaed of myself. never played G before or Cadd9 coz i havent learnt them yet, but ive managed after following this and looking forward to showing my tutor what i can do :D

  • Thanks, glad you liked it. Be aware that the G that I am playing is not the standard G, it is a variation.

  • thank you so much!

i just found your channel and there's so many tutorials! i'm so excited!

which one would you suggest I do first if i'm just starting out?

  • No problem!!!! Good beginner songs are Knockin On Heavens Door, Every Rose Has It's Thorn, Let It Be (beginner version), To Her Door, Shivers and Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)

  • I rely like your tutorial ..

But i prefer when its written down because in the middle of your tutorial i suddenly switch off n dont pay much attention

  • Thanks, the written chords and strumming should be there through the whole video, have a look again and let me know if it is not working and will go and investigate.

  • Heyy .. well done ..

I wud like to add sth when anyone wants to do arpeggio ...

Its damm difficult that you avoid high E (1st string) during strumming B and G.

So, you shud rest your hand on high E so that u mute it and also it gives a pivot to rotate ur hand for playing arpeggio...

all the luck .. i m also try to perfect it

  • Thanks and a useful tip also.

  • I have just found your you tube tutorials and well done , new guitar coming tomorrow thing I will start on this song you have made it very easy for the beginer like myself cheers.

  • Thanks, make sure you check out all my other lesson also and have fun with your new guitar.

  • wow, I think this is easier than Lola, thanks so much for the suggestion, ^_^

  • Yep heaps easier, no bar chords, master all the other chords before you work on bar chords.

  • too bad he's ugly

  • Thanks for pointing that out, I will work on fixing that up.

  • thanx i will now sub!8D

  • Thanks, appreciated!!!!

  • im learning this song in guitar class at my high school... is it true that u can drop the first finger in g, c, and d?

  • Yeah but it then becomes a variation of thhose chords ie suspended chords

  • The pickin is supposed 3 times not twice ;)

  • Sorry not sure what you are talking about there??? If it is the intro the recording I have only does it twice

  • Sorry my bad ;)

  • no it isnt

  • Thank you Jacks.

  • No problem

  • man i just started nd tis was a gr8 help

  • Thanks, glad you liked it!!!!

  • Thanks so much

i really prefer the strumming to the picking..picking is so much more complicated..

    once again thank you! :D

  • Yes the picking is harder but I actually like the sound of the strumming better for this particular song

  • Awesome translation, great work and thanks.

  • Thanks, much appreciated

  • Yes you are right it is not, see my comment below!!!

  • its noy the same?

  • No as I said in the video our version is not exactly the same as the original, we strum all the way through, the original has picking at the start and end.

  • thnx,........i got it.

  • No problem and good work on your part!!!

  • realy good lesson!!!

  • Thanks

  • Thanks So Helpfull =D

  • No problem

  • dude u r great!!.but it din help me coz....i dont even kno d chords.....i m totally new at guitar..AMATUER....so diz cnt help me..i need to a lot....nd i only kno the G chord...but ma fingers hurt while placing them on d fret board...is it happenin only 2 me or tiz normal wid each begineers???.......newayz thnx!!

  • Check out the chord diagrams at the start of the lesson they tell you what the chord shapes are.

  • alryt...thnx

  • hey i cnt find it..can u link it?

  • Check out the video at 0:09

  • yeah every begginer fingers hurt i remember when I would play till i couldn't play anymore, but you get used to it with time.Don't give up though..

  • its normal as normal... i remember my fingers hurt really bad when i started... but you gotto work through the pain...make sure you havent just "washed" your hands so there not soft.... and after a little while you will get tougher skin on your finger tips and wont hurt anymore!... Keep playing...the guitar is great

  • hey im a beginner guitarist also let me know how things work out for ya.

    my fingers recently stopped hurting

  • ive never played guitar before in my life, and i dont own one, but with a guitar, i seriously think i could play this :) with practice of course. it was so clear

    thank you very much:)

  • It's a great beginner song, thanks for the comment

  • You are VERY helpfull I enjoy your videos Keep up the exellent work

  • Thankyou

  • wow this is perfect! thanks so much for this lesson. i didnt think that the strumming mattered

  • Thanks

  • you are the best, it's so clear.

  • That's cause it is a nice easy beginner song, thanks for the comment

  • Another perfect tutorial.

    Thank you very much.

Am I allowed to ask you what might be your next tutorial?.

    (maybe something by milow?)

    greetings.

  • Thanks glad yoiu liked it, I haven't decided what my next video will be yet, hopefully tomorrow I will get a chance and post one, stay tunned.

  • I always do ;-)

    Thank you.

  • great vid thanks mate love how you put the chords up on the screen! at the end of the lesson would be good if you played the hole song though so i could play along with you

  • Thanks for the comment, the reason I don't play the whole song at the end is because it makes the videos too long and eventually we will do a cover of it on our covers channel so you will be able to play along there!!!

  • another nice video ! ! !

can you do some tutorial os some bon jovi hits?!?

    thanks..

  • THanks again, we have tried to do Bon Jovi but it is just too hard to sing, he just sings too damn high!!

  • Love the ease of this lesson...super job!

  • Thanks

  • Wow, I never thought I would be able to learn this song in, literally, the length of this video. Amazing!

  • It's a great beginner song, well done to you.

  • can u plz make a vid on the picking part

  • If you are referring to the picking at the very start it's just on the G chord bass note and A and D strings, if you are referring to the picking like in the original then it is just picking motes from the chord in the same timing as the strumming I use.

  • it's down.down.up..up.down.up

  • This is the 3rd song I have learned from u now the others were the Oasis Wonderwall and Tracy Chapmann Talkin about a revolution an I think your tutorials are great. Very simple and well explained perfect for beginners like me. Could you please post a few more easy ones without bar chords for me that would be immense??? Ive tried some other tutorials on here and they just arn´t as good. Keep up the good work

  • Thanks for the great comment, will post some more shortly when I have a spare moment.

  • Helped me immensly, many many thanks.

  • and thanks for the comment

  • thanks for the good lesson m8, i only been playin guitar a week n i managed to learn this in a flash thanks to you thanx :)

  • Thant's a great effort, well done and thanks for the comment

  • Another fantastic lesson. I am going to going learn this one right now. :o)

  • Thanks, this is a great song for beginners!!!!

  • the real name of the long cord is shit, what matter is how it sounds, by the way excellent lesson

  • Thanks for the support

  • That's not Cadd9, it's Csus2

  • No the chord I am playing is a Cadd9, a Csus2 is similar but with an open D string. If you are saying it's the wrong chord and should be a Csus2 instead of Cadd9 as I have said repeatedly this is the way I play it, take it or leave it.

  • wow! love ur tutorials :)

  • Thanks!!!!

  • you should do a cover for this song

  • Yes we will as soon as we get a chance, we perform this song regularly live so it won't take much to do a video of it!!!

  • "Let us know what you think."

Oh, come on! You know what we think!

    "Awesome Lesson, 5/5! :)"

Yep, that's what most of us think. Once again, a great lesson.

  • Thankyou, I might already know it but it is still nice to get the comments!!!!

BTW- I second the Losing my Religion! ;)

  • It's James and thanks, will do a Losing Mt Religion Lesson as soon as I have a spare moment.

  • Yep I know that song, I will put it on my list of songs to record.

  • nice
