What I mean by they are black is the same thing Americans mean when they say Obama is black. "Black Americas" are mixed peoples. So goes Jamaica, Barbados, Mexico and the Dominican Republic which had large African slave populations liek the US and therefore many of them are of mixed African, caucasian and indigenous ancestry.

This is not racist against whites or hispanics. Sammy Sosa is what most Dominicans and Cubans are....black. If you are of African descent then you are black. That's it. Your country of residence has nothing to do with your DNA and Sammy knows it. Hence, the whitening of his skin. The descendants of slaves i.e. african americans are still black. Blacks are mixed with white, native americans but they are American and mixed but still black and so is Sammy.

"I am hispanic" When I began to probe him and ask about his ancestry he reluctantly admitted that his ancestry is African. I told him, m o you are not AA because you are from DR but you are black. As with Sammy and my ex they are obviously of African origin.
