  • PANCAKES! PANCAKES! "No, no pancakes aha"

  • The Rocky Horror Picture show isn't scary, it's delightfully and pervertedly hilarious!! :L Good list though :D

  • @xXxHirokoxXx Tim Curry dressing up as a transexual and dancing around with a bunch of freaks... couldn't sleep for weeks

  • i love descent !!! my favorite , along with blair witch project that scared the crap out of me.:D

  • DESCENT , IS THE BEST HORROR EVER !!!!! but the sequel sucks .

  • DESCENT , IS THE BEST HORROR EVER !!!!! but the sequel sucks ass.

  • DEAD SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • drag me to hell Lol :D

  • I remember watching cannibal holocaust when i was coming off cocaine

  • you should have included the first evil dead. that movie serves as a landmark for all horror movies. it also has some parts where it has a tribute to the texas chainsaw massacre and the hills have eyes

  • 4:30 ahahahaha i almost shit myself!!! its just so God damn Fake!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA

  • o.O

Typischer Unterschichten-Geschmack.

  • Flowers of flesh and blood is pseudo snuff... for wanna be murderers to wack off to. I don't know why anyone would watch that for entertainment. Yes I have scene most of it. I believe that was the one film that didn't belong on this list.

  • some really good movies there but would not say all them are horrors at all like hostel stuff like that just gore really but good stuff dude

  • Wow, I love horror movies and I've seen a lot of them, but out of all the one's you've listed I've only seen 23 or them.

  • i wouldn't consider all of these "scary" but they were all good! great list!

  • dude that is one of the greatest horror lists ever done. Finally, this guy has sense. Somebody has a lot of sense with Horror Movies :)

  • lol, rocky horror picture show, love that movie!

  • @JEFFPITESTI up your ass

  • 1408 awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

  • great list

  • Screw this all!Saw is 1000 times bettter than anything on this list.

  • @Xzyification What part of the world are you from? Do they let you running free during the day?

  • @FREAKSmoviereviews your my hero, saw is complete rubbish compared to the classics!

  • Flower of flesh and blood is the MOST DISTURBING FILM EVER

  • i like your list but i personally think that The Evil Dead should have been on the list, but other than that thumbs up

  • the black sheep thing seriously made my day!

  • yeah don't fuc* with the chuck! :D

  • 31/80 movies I've seen and LOVE. Great list no problems with it... I understand why you have Jurassic Park, though I never thought it was scary.

  • Absolutly amazing list!!! Yay!!! Childs play was on there! :) I love all your choices and I'm checking out most of the ones that are on here!! Yay!!! :)

  • yeah i think scream & nightmare on elm street should switch places =D 1408 is awesome but its so weird movie

  • Death Proof, Black Sheep, The Day The Earth Stood Still, Jurassic Park, King Kong, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Videodrome, The Host, Aliens, Shaun of the dead, Eraserhead=movies I cannot describe as horror films.

Some on your list I can't tell cause I've not seen them.

Other then that, nice list. Gotta check some of these out.

  • Finally I found the name of the descent I couple think of its name

  • Eraserheads is one of the creepiest films in here,it's just insane

  • Great List, thnx, I'm gonna try and get some of these. I agree with ur choices :)

  • never thought of the day that the earth stood still as a horror film.

However this list introduced me to black sheep, and for that I am eternally grateful.

  • my no. 1 is halloween (1978)

  • the rocky horror pic show scared the hell out of me cos it was disturbing

  • All the movies that are good but not scary (to me): Jurassic Park, The Sixth Sense, Sweeney Todd, Rosemary's Baby, Scream, JAWS, The Shining, and Halloween

Movies I shall never see; Alien, Aliens, The Exorcist, and possibly the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

  • Nice intro, where did you get that from?

  • @LiquidSolidRaiden It's from a trailer of the cult classic 'Blood Feast' look it up!

  • REC (or Qarantine ) was the best!! the thin that it was like camera all the time was the best thing!!

  • The original Halloween (1978) is the best

  • i saw #1 comming for it......

  • quarantine sucks. Rec is really better.

  • waf jurassic park is no horror movie

waths next die hard is no action movie

  • "Freaks" was the weirdest damn movie I ever saw..

  • No.9.....That movie is just scary...Cannibal's Holocuast

  • @King841

    eat human meet???

    wtf!!!

  • nice number one

  • good choices n yea rec is a pretty good horror film rec 2 idk n nice leather face

  • the mist was messed up

  • @emaniangel12345 maybe but the ending was awesome

  • my top 5 horror movies are 1- shining ( if u read the review and realize the philosophical ideas behind the stanely kubrick's masterpiece, i promise you wont be sleeping for a week) 2. Lost highway ( goes deep in your mind too much that u will be scared of your self :) ) , .3. Eraserhead, 4, Sixth sense 5, the audition

these 5 movies are the ones that actually frightened me,... Slaughtering a bunch of teens with their blood coming out of their throats or cutting a head off isnt realy scary

  • @IdioticFishPie It says top horror films, not scariest!

  • @LisaKee73 !!!! everyone listen to him!!!! he's right!!!!

  • @FREAKSmoviereviews yea he is xD

  • @LisaKee73 Indeed! It's weird so many people on these youtube horror lists write "these films is not scary!"

...most adults probably wouldn't get scared from a movie. Horror isn't about just about being scared. Any true horror fan would understand what I mean.

  • @Gechigena

Quarentine is awful!! Rec is far superior. Manuela Velasco was excellent in the lead as Angela in REC. Jennifer Carpenter cant act for toffee. There are far to many Hollywood 'remakes' (ie rip offs) of excellent European horrors.

I pray they never remake The Orphange or The Devil's

    Backbone.

  • @LisaKee73 you think jennifer carpenter can't act?? have you seen the exorcism of emily rose?? because if you think that's bad acting then you're just nuts :/

  • @mileyxlove1 - Yep Ive seen Emily Rose and I didn't rate her in that either! There's a difference between acting and screaming! Have you ever watched her in Dexter?? She's dire!

I hardly think the fact that I think she cant act labels me as nuts. I should think that someone who thinks Miley Cyrus is the 'greatest actress of her generation' is the one who requires psychiatric help! Try watching films starring Dakota Fanning, Ellen Page, Chloe Moretz or Megan Fox. And grow up!

  • what was jurassic park doing there?otherwise great list :)

  • @linkinfreerun Well I have some books of Steven Jay Schneider, you know '1001 movies you should see before you die", "101 horror movies", etc... And he always puts 'Jurassic Park" in the horrorgenre.and I thought: hey why not? I grew up with this classic movie and at my age (around 9-10) I actually thought it was scary. So, I guess Jurassic Park can be considered as horror/sci-fi for dummies. It's a nice introduction to newcommers. :)

  • damn right the exorcist is #3

  • My top 5 would be

    5.) The ring

    4.) Saw II

3.) IT (not scary but still one of my favorites)

    2.) The human centipede

    1.) The grudge

  • LMAO!!! Shawn of the dead!? It's Comedy

  • the decent made me jump alot

  • um number ten is called Quarantine

  • No, you retard, Quarantine is the American remake, the Spanish original "REC" is way better

  • @FREAKSmoviereviews oh alright i didnt no they spanish made it

  • @FREAKSmoviereviews nice i love the texas chainsaw massacre

  • @FREAKSmoviereviews i never seen REC but it looks good even though i cant understand Spanish, i seen Quearanite i wasnt impresed and i'm a american

  • @FREAKSmoviereviews yes!!! Rec is way better then Quarantine! ever saw the second one?

  • Paranormal Activity? Shaun of the Dead? Rocky Horror? Wow, this is just awful. Also, where was It ir Friday the 13th?

  • Friday 13th is overrated...

  • @FREAKSmoviereviews Thumbs up for that lol... Allthough i wish pontypool would be in some of these lists on youtube... i love that movie...

  • @FREAKSmoviereviews I agree, Friday The 13th is the worst horror film of the 80's.

  • My favorite movie on here is Rocky Horror Picture Show... Even though it is not scary, it is a comedy, but either way I love that it is on here....XDDDD... Totally favorited....

  • i think the exorsist shold be one and 2 texas chainsaw masare 3 halloween 4 silence of the lambs 5 phantasm 6 poltergiest and so on and i don realy think jaws the sixth sense IT or frankenstien should be there five stars by the way i subbed also

  • lol at dead snow and blair witch

  • Jurrasic park and KIng kong? Horror movies? Yea i don't think so!!

  • @demonicxxx

Actually, when the original King Kong came out, it was considered horror. They didn't have as many "disturbing" or gory films to numb them to the horror genre yet, and it was theoretically a scary concept for the time.

  • @CrimsonRain169 Thanks Crimson. :D i was not thinking for it's time that it was close to even scary.. I watched all the king kong's and Godzilla's when i was six!! I actually loved the heck out of them lol..

  • @demonicxxx I watched King Kong when I was six, too! lol I didn't care for Godzilla but King Kong introduced me to the horror genre and I watched old classic horror films whenever I could find them, until my parents let me start watching PG-13 movies at 11 lol

  • @CrimsonRain169 lol yea like flight of the navigator? WOW!!! Classic dude!! what vampire movie where that one vampire guy had really long fingers? One scene in a movie he broke off his fingers and they turned into little mini Minions

  • @demonicxxx they were back then. just think 20 yrs from now when u/wife have kids there gonna be like what the fuck this use to scare or freak you guys out it was like carrie my mom thought that was scary and her friends i watched it and i still cant figure out how its scary? ?

  • what about House On Haunted HIll 1999

  • Cabin Fever, Dawn Of The Dead, Cube, Hellraiser, Hostel II, Saw, Hostel, Scream, Shaun Of The Dead, 28 Days Later- good choices

  • i saw most of them :) nice vid. The best one for me is the Texas chainsaw massacre made me almost pi the first time i saw it.

  • what are people with drag me to hell? that movie just made me laugh other than that its a pretty nice list i like all the movies just would put them in a different order lol

  • It's a horror-comedy, ofcourse it made you laugh....

    that was the intension

  • @FREAKSmoviereviews aahahah thats just what the film makers claimed after it was a huge distaer everyone knows it is abousloutly shit!

  • @hitchcockwannabe no it isn't, these are the creators of the Evil Dead movies, they know very well what they are doing.

  • @FREAKSmoviereviews evil dead was good

  • OK, I know everybody is going to have their say-so here is mine:Death Proof and The Day the Earth Stood Still and Rocky Horror aren't horror films. The Host is a wonderfully underestimated monster film,Michael Bay is planning on doing a unnecessay crappy remake of The Birds, Psycho is only #7?, and 1408 is too weak for consideration. Thank you for including Let the Right One In and Eraserhead though-those are awesome!

  • @crodgers100 eraserhead is horror and the day the earth stood still isnt? bull. They're both sci fi horror.

  • indeed

  • nice vid dude, i will check em out!

  • The howling and IT were 2 of the most scariest movies for me but I liked them a lot.

  • Waiiiiittt isnt the Exorcist the Scariest movie of all time

  • The scariest maybe, but some are better in general. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is more on the gore and disturbing side.

  • @Unknown6360 see I saw the exorcist, and I would never say its the scariest movie ever. Its not even scary, its just disturbing. Great movie though!

  • The Rocky Horror Picture Show isn't a horror movie, its a musical!

  • @CottnCandyRainbow It's a horror-musical

  • the guy talking in the start is sweating like hell

  • He's scared that people will find out he was in 'blood Feast' so his acting career would be over

  • i like this list, the only thing i'd change would be the blair witch project...that movie sucked :3 but anyway good list

  • about a handful that I've never seen before, a handful that I was actually afraid of as a child & the others were good movies, but not scary enough for me.....

  • 4:19 to 4:23 was funny to me

  • I get really scary from little girls and boys who murder people!.........I really got upset after seeing The Ring....

  • Rocky Horror picture schow is the most scarring movie ever

I don't think that jurassic park and king kong are Horror movies

  • yes they are

  • Texas Chainsaw Masssacre... Really?

  • really

  • Is king kong a horror movie?!?!?!

  • The 1930's version certainly is. The Peter Jackson version is open for discussion

  • SO TRUE! the texas chainsaw massacaus is the best horror movie ever!!!!! but you missed out alot of good ones, but seriously nightmare on elm street should be no.5 at least

  • @RedbullExclamation I understand that the crappy remake that just came out made us all appreciate the original more but I think the movie's a bit overrated. I agree that it should be more on top then nr 44 but concidering cinematography and story structure I think there are way better horror movies. A Nightmare on Elm Street scores with its originality in concept and effects and has an awesome vilain but it can't be compared with the powerful Halloween, Jaws or Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

  • dude anoes should have been ranked higher then it actualy was it was a pioneering movie also scream should have been to it baisicly saved horror movies and revolutionized the survivor girl character

  • @redrum21pro I agree that ANOES is a litte underrated here, but still I think there are way better horror movies (concidering cinematography an story structure). However saying anoes is a pioneering movie is a wrong statement. It's often seen as foundation of modern horror cinema but that's bullshit, those were Jaws, Psycho, Halloween, The Exorcist and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Those movies made a huge impact on the world, Anoes didn't.

  • omg! i love all of these movies!

  • @lola200611 good for you!

  • 1408 is good

  • @prokreten indeed it is! That movie personally had me in its grip from beginning to end and was actual pretty scary.

  • halloween #1 and nightmare on elm street at 44 wtf

  • @gtcochran1 indeed, Halloween is better in every way. Halloween made a huge impact on the world for being the first horror movie set in descent residents in America. I personally also believe the villain is more powerful, but that's open to discussion. I guess we'll have to wait for "Freddy vs Michael" to find out, no?

  • wheres friday the 13, final destination, the others, arachnopohobia gremlins??? ok maybe you wouldn put gremlins but the other 4 should definitly be there!!!

  • @belthazorshaxandreas I guess you're right, I just haven't seen 'em yet :s I know it's a sin but I'm working on it. (and yes Gremlins doesn't fit in this list)

  • Teaxes chainsaw massucure is not as good as halloween

  • @cursedveng122 that's open to discussion. They are both very powerful, I just took personnal taste and TCM changed my whole view on horror cinema while Halloween just confirmed it.

  • ...no the texas chainsaw isnt the top >.> its not even scary the shinging or the langolers (sp sorry) any stephen king movie should have been the top..

  • @AiLess That's a matter of personnal taste I guess. Thanks for the 'Langolers' tip, I'll definately check that movie out.

  • @AiLess at least its not the remake of texas chainsaw cus that film was terrible

  • great #1

  • i dont agree with the grudge. grudge or ju-on is really one of the best

  • "The Shining" is the scariest I've ever seen

  • 1408 was the last good horror movie I watched. Event Horizon was a good movie too... not really "super" scary, but definitely worth a watch.

  • oooh i love the ring =D

  • why would u post tht as the top 2009 movies? there was like 3 or 4 2009 movies and the rest were old

  • It's because this list will be updated every year...

  • Love all these horror noobs or maybe just young kids talking about Saw like its some big deal. Those torture movies were a FAD <--. They shouldn't be ranked in the top 30 Horror movies . This guy putting one in his top 80 is a favor tbh.

  • Saw isn't scary but a good movie though. Enough story and character development

for a horror movie to put in this list. Also good montage btw

  • #41...O_O!

  • A few questionable choices here, but not a bad list. I'm glad to see Eraserhead here (most of the scariest films aren't even horror films) and I'm also glad you chose [rec] and not Quarantine.

  • i agree on The Texas Chainsa Massacre as the number one because it is based on a true story

  • lol pancakes pancakes

  • 28 days later had such an eerie feel.

  • Also, Rocky Horror Shulda Totally been First, although it's not really a horror :) x More of a Sci Fi x

  • Viewed by anyone with a heart condition PAHA made me Laugh, i just wanted to thank you for all the work you put into these video's i think there fantastic Cannibal Holocaust was seriously Fucked up :L Was it based on a real thing ?? i'm 13 and unertended :L I couldn't watch tv after watching Scary Movie 3, let alone The Ring ,i thought it was THAT scary and i wouldn't answer the phone for about a year.. x

  • where the fuck is candy man

  • On nr 40 it is

  • I just LOVE that you have "Let The Right One In" on the list! That movie is incredible!

  • HOLY CRAP! if thats ur horror list ur a pussy! there was like 5 there that were actually scary! Shaun of the dead and black sheep dont count as horrors and why the hell was texas chainsaw even on the list!

  • The titles says top 80 horror movies, which means the 80 best horror movies ever made, not the scariest! there's a huge difference... and really... when you believe Texas Chainsaw Massacre isn't scary at all then what movies do you find scary?

  • @CalumS111 calm down nerd, no1 cares about ur opinion, no not even your mom

  • @CalumS111 Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of the greatest horror films of all time, once it gets scary it keeps going until the end. It's a no relief, high tension type of movie. Infact, I wish we'd have more of those movies today, besides Hostel n Saw.

  • the ring, dawn of the dead, black sheep, suked i liked resident evil but its not horror, the sixth sense was a thriller, scream sucked mager balls, the shining was the best one on here

  • Of you really believe that 'Dawn of the Dead' and 'Scream' sucked.... then you know nothing of movies!

  • to me 31 is the best.

  • There are some crappy films, but anyway interesting list and cool vid.

    Excellent work!

  • this is not horror this is comedy :D

  • the texas chainsaw was the scariest

  • freaksmovieriews rocks at making list and you made texas chainsaw masscre as number 1, you know what your doing keep, on making some of these lists

  • nice list! I'm glad to see cannibal holocaust in the top 10 - you obviously love the horror as much as i do. Have you seen Martyrs yet?

  • No I haven't, but I'll definately check it out...

    Thnx 4 watching!

  • @FREAKSmoviereviews the movie it creeped me the fuck out

  • How could you not have thirteen ghosts on this countdown..It was better than most of these movies..that's not right

  • the reason why we didn't put it in the list is simply because none of us has seen it yet...

But we certainly will check the movie you're talking about out asap

    thnx 4 watching

  • WELCOME BACK

    GREAT JOB

    5/5
