  • yeeeeeea goan' Davo...hahah

  • I'm hoping to head out again in a few weeks, got a whole load of upgrades now.

btw, my 180 is completely stock in this shot and this was only my first day I'd even seen a drag strip, just to put in perspective.

And stop the hating, suckers! I love my Fords as much as I love my Jap Crap :]

  • im hoping to head out again fully built engine now still running it in but

  • By the way shit start by the F6 Driver chuck someone who can actually stall her up and then see how she launches ;)

  • yeah lets stall a stock zf six speed with out slicks

  • @PaulDog9 Agreed , he should have had 2,000 rpm up with brakes on. Turbo is spooling by then.

  • I'd rather be in a nice built ford then one of them jappo tois any day.

  • lol i cant belive some of the comments here, the reason the 180sx was in front was becuase its a LIGHT CAR! they weigh a good 600kg less than a falcon, plus the f6 have a large turbo that dosnt boost up as easy, and also, an f6 typhoon is not aussie muscle, its BOOSTED!! aussie muscle is n/a V8's and 6's you moron, the 180 would have been just as fast in the end with more mods, AND LMFAO A 4.0L 6 WITH 300KW? LOL LOL LOL YOU WANKER

  • 300kw is easy to get

  • I own a modded falcon I6 myself, but without forced induction, 300kw@w is generally impossible. The highest figures obtained from falcon N/A I6's is just over the 200kw @ the wheels, which in itself is a very costly achievement. The bloke saying he pulled 300+ on his N/A EA is blatantly lying. I'd bet my car on it. Any power made over say 180-190rwkw depending on the car or dyno, would be money better spent on forced.

  • What on earth are you on about smiley? There are tonnes of Inline 6's or even V6's naturally aspirated pulling 400kw+ at the rears. Is not impossible its just harder. But a nice XR6 N/A with cams and exhaust sounds almost tougher than some blown 8's and can easily pull 300+ at the rears!!!!!!!!!!

  • can you prove this in any way? for starters, you cant say they sound "tougher" cause they are 2 very distinct sounds. a v8 always sounds more muscular. Find a tonne of v6's with 400+wkw for me, the v6's are even worse.

  • You got it right about the lighter car , but wron about Aussie Muscle.

The V8's in both Australian FPV & HSV are imported From the USA.

Yes it is a boosted 6 & outperforms both V8's & uses less fuel.

The 180sx is a kick ass little car, with little money can run 12's and below.

  • are you stupid? 300kw is nothing with one of these engines

  • wheel spin was the only reason the sx was in front for 2 secs only distance was the intrest here

    why bother posting that??????

  • hey mate nice launch but in the end your jap crap got owned by aussie muscle. SEEYA.

  • +1

i do respec japanese however ricers forgot a key part in their cars make up.... u need bolt ons, muscle doesn't. heavily work 4L would still kick ure 180's arse, the EA 4.0 OHC engine i'm running atm is already pulling 302 rwkw without forced induction, bit of tweaking on gear with respect to compression ratios, bolt a t66 to the side and, bye, you got beat by and 86 falcon.

btw sweet launch, gg indeed :P

  • difference is mate the 180 has older technology and still can keep up with most high powered cars of today...what does that tell you. spend a little bit on upgrades and you'll have a 180 that will wipe most cars arses for a 3rd of the cost!!!

oh and ford is a FAMILY car, not a Sports car by the way..thats the difference

  • and on that last point makes muscle in the shape of falcons even better than rice, we can fit 5 comfortably and take a full boot load. and btw my particular 4L isn't exactly new.

  • lmao id love to see an NA 302rwkw EA falcon, your talking out of your ass mate

  • tempest404 n/a 4L are not volumetrical effiecent enough to achieve that, you would be doing well to get 85% displacement. yet on the turbos your looking well in excess of 120% depending on how much boost they run. and alot of the turbo 4L barely make 302 rwkw you wuld be doing well to make even 180 rwkw.

  • 180rwk's is achievable with an exhaust syterm and intake.. Jim mock motorsport. check it out. brenden mock owns a 600rwhp inline 6 falcon, that the old single overhead cam engine.. its a street car too.. he also has a detuned 10 second flat EB falcon.. inline 6 will ultimately be more tunable that an sr20 or cai8 180.. not baggin them but 4l turbo vs 2l turbo....?? do the math

  • I think you will find that their is more than an exuast and intake their is also extensive head work and new cam. i have already done the research into making power with the sohc 4L motors. still 180 rwkw isnt bad at all their work shop ute ran 14 flAT.. jim mock motorsports eb is on N2O and turboed.

  • actually there is no camwork as of yet.. read the articles on jims site.. im actually torn between the dev3hl and dev5 kit for my 96 EF... 150rwkw would be nice.. and yeah that ute is something.. to do 14 flat with street tires and near no traction..they outta be commended..

  • i was talking about the work shop ute that runs a dev5.

  • ive acheived 160rwkws:P no cam.

  • @FormulaVeeRacer1200 i love the ford tubos but i own a 180sx turbo which weighs more than 600kg less than a falcon, mild cam $500, bigger intercooler and b.o.v, $400, 16 psi of boost ( adjusted manually at the boost controller $100) locked diff that i did myself = 12.7 sec 1/4 mile with only 192kw at the wheels, very cheap for alot of fun! the turbo is also only a t28,

  • i have f6 typhoon also watch my video mines also slow off the start bt nt that slow nice start in the 180

  • Umm, soz... my car is turbo as well... lol

But yeah, top end he owned me haha

  • yeah u did get me of the line. looks like i was a sleep or something. see how it goes next time at the end i got u bye a couple of car lengths.

  • Thats my brothers F6 you racing and the only reason that you have a good start on it is because he has to wait to the turbo to kick in. He just done it and is making over 300KW at the bags now but any way good video. I was driving the checkered Junior Dragster that was there.
