  • this guy is doing it big in the nfl right now i wish my team would have drafted him

  • The guy has very good pursuit. If he works his ass off he could be the next J. Peppers. He definitely has the size and quickness for a DE to make it at the next level but only if he has the desire and work ethic. I can't wait to see him line up opposite either Allen or Edwards. Either way if Edwards can keep up his momentum at the beginning of this season as he did the end of 2009 the Vikes D will be much more potent than previous years.

  • is it just me or is everyone extremely critical of SC prospects

  • sweet

  • welcome to the vikings griffen

  • this is just dumb to make and expect people to learn anything about a prospect if you don't give us an arrow before the play telling us where hes lined up.

  • extreme 2nd round talent... not sure about using a first rund on him though

  • hope hes the next olb for the jets........ (D-Ware!?)

  • He plays the option verry well nice contain

  • Hell I'm a USC fan, a USC fanatic but even I don't think that Griffen is going to be as good as everybody believes he is. A lot of those sacks don't really even show you good pass rushing skills. Some of them were just horrible OTs and broken plays where he was the first defender to get to the QB.

Him being a lot better than the competition he went up against hurts him I think. I'm not sure he'll really even go that high in the draft. The 1st-round selection of him would be a mistake.

  • Saints will get him and repeat, WHO DAT

  • sorry Jets, Giants will grab him if he's there.

  • he has the most pursuit of anybody in the draft he never gives up hope the jets get him

  • I think there's gonna be a DraftRoom "showdown" between DE Everson Griffen and DE Derrick Morgan for teams who are in need of an all-around DE

Teams like the Bucs (yes I still think they will consider DE), the Jaguars (definite unless they sign Peppers or Kampman), the Titans, the Falcons, the Patriots (Everson has the advantage due to "stand up" ability), the Eagles, the Cardinals (advantage to Everson), & even the Colts & the Saints.

I feel both will be gone by time the Titans & Jags select

  • @twotwennie2s, I really hope Griffen falls to the 2nd round, half of the mock draft sites project him to be an early 2nd rounder. Bucs could get him with their 35th pick.

  • @jonnyhan

Naa bro, no way he falls to the 2nd.

He's scheme diverse and unlike Pierre-Paul, Dunlap, and even Morgan he's gonna be coveted by both 3-4 teams (he is fluid standing up) and 4-3 teams (unlike Kindle, he has the size to play the 4-3 front).

This is how things are as they stand: Pierre-Paul, Morgan, Graham, Griffen, Kindle, and Dunlap are all legit 1st rounders.

Having said that: Jags, Phins, Titans, Falcons, Pats, Eagles, Cards, & Saints all need pass rushers

    6 players, 8 teams

  • @twotwennie2s jets on that list???

  • lol not many of those ND highlights are low lights

  • I think Everson's stock is going to be seen as a top 15 lock soon.

  • I honestly feel the same, but barring any trades, I am doubtful as to whether both he and DE Derrick Morgan will both go top 15. I personally say its gonna be one or the other, but not both - again, barring any trades.

Im keeping my eye on the Jaguars to get this guy, a guy who they I feel has more talent, and who they feel may have more upside as a [stout] NFL Pass Rushing DE - which is a position they need desperately

  • The question is, who is the better pass rusher?

Who of the two has more explosion off the snap?

We know who is more productive, but was Griffen's lack of production a product of the system and his duties in it?

I can make a case for Everson Griffen going to the Jaguars rather than Derrick Morgan.

  • eagles baby !!!

  • Probaly wont be very explosive in the nfl

  • he needs to stay in California and go to San Fran at 17 no doubt and have taylor mays at 13 and we would be set on D for a couple key postions

  • taylor mays is a waste

  • @wesleygene

    i agree

  • i hope the falcons draft him

  • Comment removed

  • Good size and strength but im not sold. I watched alot of SC games last year and this year and i honestly think that he is average and relies on his strength and athleticism to pull his weight. i would not draft him early. My opinion dont hate.

  • @mcsuchnsuch not hating but who the hell are you. you said "i would not draft him early"... are you a gm, scout, coach? just asking because you make it sound as if you're someone of influence in the nfl

  • @brewcardi99 nah, im jus a fan of football bro. Im just voicing my opinion on this "comment board" because thats what people do....thats what comment boards are for. If you say he plays like the second coming of Jesus Christ then hey, thats your opinion, im saying that he plays far below his potential.

  • @mcsuchnsuch did I say he played like the second coming of Jesus Christ...naw try again. Epic Fail by you dude. I was just asking who you were since you said "im not sold". I thought you must of been a gm or something. My bad, obviously your just a living room scout. Next time just say you dont think he lived to his potential, you not being sold means sh*t

  • @brewcardi99 Hey its my opinon not yours. And yes bro, you are hating. So why dont you stop worrying about what i post and start figuring out how your gonna take Everson nutz out yo mouf bitch! Straight up jockin! I wouldnt knock you if you posted that you walk around your hood rockin Eversons jersey with pink spandex. Its all good, we all cope with our faults in different ways....nothing but love for you homey.

  • @brewcardi99 You and Everson Griffen is the only epic fail homie! Where he at now?

  • @mcsuchnsuch get a fucking life. are you really still harping on something from a year ago? BTW, Everson's in the NFL...where you at now? still in your living room criticizing people who have 100 X the athletic ability as you.

  • @brewcardi99 i read the article about him getting into trouble with the law and i thought about you. sorry bro but homeboy is on his way out and on his way to jail. damn it feels good to tell chumps like yourself, "I told you so". you started the fire homie not me...so it sucks to be you. hey, i dont even care about being athletic or not...i love my life.

  • @mcsuchnsuch are you slow? must be. like I said where are you? Everson's still in the NFL. You're only hoping he's on his way out. I deal with facts and you deal with hating on athletes who've actually made it. Yes he got in trouble, do you know what the outcome will be? doubt it. Its different for guys like him and me who have made it to the league...we got money. For you that's a death sentence, for Everson that just means he has to spend the night in jail. NO BRUH SUCKS 4 YOU. get a life

  • @brewcardi99 "Deal with facts"? Whats his stats for this past year? 11 tackles in 11 games? I just voiced my honest opinion about what i saw on him in college....and what i said about him looks deserving. How can it be hating if its coming to light bro? If i call an orange an orange would i be hating on it? I just call it like i see it. The comment you also said, "Guys like him and ME....we got money". Well, if i had money i wouldnt be caught talkn shit on youtube telln people to get a life. SAD

  • @mcsuchnsuch did you see those spin moves? the dude looked like Dwight Freeney at times in this video, with better run support. hes fast and powerful, has great pursuit and pretty good play recognition... whats there not to like?

  • @crunkjizzle alrite alrite, you say he flashes signs of Freeney...thats cool. Thats your opinion. Im not gonna knock it. I see it like, Everson came to USC highly recruited. Later on he was sent to the bench by Clay Matthews...a walk-on. Clay worked harder then he did. What if Clay came back another year? Does Everson rely too much on his natural abilities so much that he doesnt bother to work hard? A 6 ft. DE from Syracuse, Freeney made the most out of least. Hope Everson is not the opposite.

  • @crunkjizzle i just feel his run defense is a little lacking. especially now that hes a viking and thats their strat

  • @crunkjizzle off the field issues

  • @mcsuchnsuch all 32 NFL teams agree because he has yet to picked and its the fourth round.

  • fuck i hope ravens pick him up.....in da near future lol

  • 2:26-2:30 second coming of Dwight Freeney? Beast

  • lol, i met this guy back when he was going to Agua Fria High School in AZ. We thought he was a beast then, Me and my friends used to joke that he wrestled baby bears for practice.

  • Very impressive indeed. He has great speed, uses his hands well, nice moves, plays his assignments, goes out all out on every play. Really didn't see any weaknesses in this video.

  • I see a guy who can't tackle (takes very poor angles closing in) and is easily taken out of a play.

  • Everson Griffen is very gifted in his speed and his very rare losee hips i guess you would call it. Alot of defensive ends in the NFL are very stiff but this guy can drop in the coverage and turn his hips on a dime and engage a tackle or juke a lineman.
