I truly hope Sony is paying for these reviews. You make a person feel like the need to have all that stuff to be satisfied. Ill be upgrading my handycam to this just cause I saw the review. Im sure my wife will understand.

I was about to buy the Sony ex1 and found out they shot district 9 on it, and I really like the video quality. But is the ex3 really worth the 3,000$ extra dollars or should I buy the ex1.

@happyfoxproductions Just so you know mate, District 9 was shot on RED cameras in 4k. Bit out of my price range tho, so I too will be sticking with the ex1 or ex3

@wowmad001 the cinematic style filming was shot on the red @4k but the documentary style footage was shot on the EX1, I'm assuming at 1080p cause thats the highest res it can go. :-)

That camera meets full broadcast requirements, but it's handheld rather than shoulder mounted :-)

yeah love that, but wouldn't the 2/3 inch lens provide a magnification factor?

yes, everything is 20% tighter with a 2/3" lens. good for zooms, not so good for wides

Firstly, thanks for doing the video. But second - shoot progressive in the future. The video is shot in interlaced mode. There is NO reason to shoot interlaced for the web, guys. Wasting compression, making video look bad.
