Super video !! Tu gache ton talent mon ami, meme arté en fait pas de si belles. Par contre, pense a mettre une traduction en sous-titre, j'ai rien compris au dialogues ;)
@MadeWithHmong Sry, I dont know the title, try to find this video on youtube, there is the full song on the first part: "Southwest China 2011 Shangrila (Zhongdian)"
I got teary eyes watching this clip. It is great to see my kins in our mother-land country. Tev tev lawm es peb sib caim. Tev tev lawm es peb mam ib sib ntsib ib zuag. Nco nco cov nyob tom qab.
@jephboy My father told me his grand father entered Laos in 1880 from China... There is much more Hmong in China than every where in the world...Now, If you really want to know more, you have all informations you need on internet.
Thanks. I knew that already. I was just poking fun at ignorance and the people who perpetuate it. Where else would Hmong come from, if not China? Certainly not a portal from another dimension or planet.
@maaaaiy Miao is how Chinese call us, just like American or French call us Hmong, I call me Hmoob... Words is different, peoples are the same. Otherwise, I was lucky to meet that Lady in kaili last year, she's a hmong lady from USA, she speak 2 hmong's dialects, english and chinese, very helpful to travel in this county...
I suggest you take geography, linguistic, cultural anthropology and come back to your answer. Language does not describe a people. Mexicans speak Spanish, are they Spainiards? Egyptians speak Arabic and many Somalian speak Arabic, but they are they same ethnic? Black Americans speak English, are they Englishmen? Our cultural similarities outweigh our language differences more than anything. Throw out your narrow definition of Hmong.
@maaaaiy I dont want to debate more about that... I did my own research for some years to learn and understand my background ... This is my second trip to China, meeting and sharing with the Hmong in Yunnan and Guizhou, we have the same historical lineage... Of course there are differences of dress code, language or other, but the basics are the same traditional... Now think what you want, I'm ok with that and for myself.
@maaaaiy No I think we pretty much evolve and as we went further down to the low lands in south east asian into Vietnam, Lao, Thailand. We pretty much changed our ways, but the one thing that did not die or is still a truth this day is our flute or lusheng playing instrument that is proof our ties with those in China. Look up the Hmong rebellion in China, dear friend.
@maaaaiy I have to ask you this... If you are Mong Leng and the white dialect is different does that not count them as Mong? Reverse this If you are White Hmong and you don't understand the Lend dialect does that still make them Hmong? Miao is a Han term. Example American Indian is not really Indian. they are native American yet they have come to accept the term Indian. Hmong's in China have accepted this term Miao.
@niamtxiv Sorry, I dont know the title and who sing it... This song is well know in Yunnan province cause you can hear it everywhere in the streets and mostly in Lijiang (most visited city in China), I'm just lucky to have find it on youtube.
Very lovely. Love the songs. I enjoy the breath-taking and peaceful scenery. Thank you for sharing. Ua koj tsaug. The songs flow beautifully with the video. Zoo heev.

Yes and no. Chinese (Xia/Suav) are our cousins.I would presume we all originated at around the same time.
