  • 初めて見たけど、歴史を感じさせるなww

  • 1:29 is more funny

  • wonderful ! nostalgic best !!

  • R.I.P Shammi kapoor !

  • the first hindi film song I was ever aware of...as an American kid in Allahabad in the early 1960s...we used to sing this to each other for years...'le gaya dil!'

  • I used to listen this song when i was a kid. Now im 48 and still like this song. I will never forget this song in whole life. thanks. Raj kumar shrestha. kathmandu, Nepal.

  • He throws her at 5.23? But the songs 5.22 long , he throws her earlier in start of song .

  • the great mohd rafi saab !

  • truly retro !

  • kya song hai wah

  • Eifell tower??! What ignorance some people can be at this millenium age.

  • oh my god ..in 5.23 he actually threw her on the pavement after crossing the road carrying her ..

  • japan, land of hachiko the loyal dog!!!!!

  • Just returned from a trip to Japan, and could immediately identify Tokyo Tower but little else: all very generic urban landscape. The elevated train shown was not to be seen anywhere. Must have been the predecessor of the Shinkansen or the other railway lines that criss cross the city and country today.

The people also are unidentifiable - the woman on the streets does not wear kimonos today.

Joy Mukherji should leave the acrobatic antics to naturals like Shammi Kapoor.

  • @RanjitKonkar check 5.23 ..he crossed the carrying her and he couldn't carry her anymore and just threw her on the pavement.

  • @RanjitKonkar chk 5.23 on the vedeo.. he carries her ,crosss the road and suddenly throws her on the pavement.asha parekh was just thrown to the pavement.but the scene gets cleverly hidden with the next sequence..

  • i laugh my aarrrsssee off at 0:32

  • very nice song

  • very nice

  • great footages of Tokyo

this must be mid or late 1960s

  • @KENTAROCHIBA yes. japan has always been number 1 to me. long live japan

  • すてきです。インドもすてきです。

  • XD Good.

  • stupid..

  • oh good ness !!! can some one ever reproduce so many hits at a strech in one film...i think only yesteryear films are possible...just imagine all songs in this film simply superb be it in music locales singers and finally actors..never underestimate the lyricists...all a bowl of sweet pies

  • 32 sec, into the song....watch it

    THAT got to hurt.

  • @adupadhyay I was thinking the same thing!

  • @adupadhyay INDEED!!... so is at 1:27!

  • I can't believe that this was Tokyo back in 1966. It was so good even back then. Even 44 years ago, this city was marvellous according to that time.

  • @ravspavs japan has always been no 1 in terms of economic growth. german n america follow

  • i alaways think love in tokyo was a film by shammi ji,as u can c, great thxs to posters who correct my errors ,i was a kid by that time & that still reminds me my dear childhood friend " ti kam" "fokeer" we was at second in primary scholl by those days, wah thxs dear poster for this gem

  • lol not only did he drop Asha, he knocked the life out of tht Japanese woman...hahaha

I think the only person gettin it rite in this song is the gr8 Rafisaab!

  • wonderful song.

  • It's make believe moments like this in life that make living so amazingly enjoyable!

  • visit japan in one video

  • 5:13 to 5:23 one of the funniest scene..how pran just drags her off d stage and he still keeps on dancing till he notices her missing n is too stunned. LMAO :D

  • joy tere kya kehne harami acting acchi karta hai tu

  • Does anyone know the history behind Asha falling on the sidewalk ? I believe it was not intentional because Asha took a hard hit there . I have been wanting to find out more about it for years but was never able to ask anyone . I personally think Joy Saheb just gave in to the " Mass X Velocity " .

  • it looked like a stunt person.

  • @jsaintil

ha haa ! he can't dance ! Wow Damn Why did bollywood took me ! Instead ! haaa ! I did love the women ! damn life is soo damn unfair !

  • @richie7515

No worries! Asha had an ample behind to cushion the fall. :-)

  • Asha was lucky as she landed on her left leg that was very very strong absorbing her weight at least 30% while buying time before her whole body to follow.

This stunt cant be revisited by later actresses.

  • remind me of my small age...!!!! 1969 etc... love this song...

  • Love Rafi Saab!!

  • 映像、古っ!

  • old is cold love this song

  • Some ruckus must have been created by Asha on the sets after JM dropped her

  • Great Great song, Rafi saabsings in so many differnet styles. look at his svoice modulation. My god, What a singer heis. And add SJ to that. It is amazing

  • haha! that is so silly. Imagine Shah Rukh doing the same scene dropping Gauri Khan on the pavement? She's cut him in 2 pieces. lol!

  • Joy Mukherjis Uncle Mr T K Banerji was my teacher at Bipin Bihari Degree College Professor of English and the producer Subodh Mukherji was from Kali badi in Jhansi.I was a small child and the movie was a super hit then, but I was may be 4 years at that time

  • Its so amazing that just after the atomic bomb debacle Japan was so advanced exactly 22 years later as the movie was released in 1964 because the people of Japan had the spirit and determination.Rafi and Joy sahib are at their career best

  • lovely

  • ほんと、外国に見えるw

  • Poor Asha! That hurts! Those Bollywood heroines suffer a lot!

  • If I ever do this to my wife, I don't know what's going to happen to me. This is the only silliest scene in the movie. I dont know why the director had accepted a scene like this??

  • Yes! I think I feel more pity for this guy's wife. She might pass through this almost every day LOL

  • I'm Japanese and I like this.

  • I am an Indian and I like Japanese, actually everything made in Japan.

whatever You people made, you made the best, this is granteed.

  • @hokkaidomilk indians love japan

  • @hemuntozzy I'm glad to hear so.

  • Haha why did he have to drop her like that? haha did she bounce too? her poor buttom she just went right back to work at 1:11 lol

  • I am not sure but my guess is that he as soon as he crosses the road and flips on the side walk.

As I said, the director should have removed this scene from the movie.

  • Indian (Hindi/Tamil/Telegu/Malayalam) Musical Movie Genre = Masala Movie

Non Musical Movie Genre = Multiplex Movie

  • It's a particular narrative form, which requires some degree of cultural empathy/understanding to appreciate.

  • I understand thank you. It looks like a live-action musical movie which is very interesting.

  • ಠ_ಠ

  • JOY MUKHERJEE, KAJOL'S UNCLE!!

But love the song ..most versatile singer ever ..Mohammed Rafi.

  • Wow,,, that was, different. Maybe Indian people shouldnt make any more music videos about Japan. Also, he dropped that girl pretty hard in the beginning, that wasn't acting.

  • Its clear that Joy mukherjee tried his best at jiving..poor thing he wasn't too good a dancer..still he's my favs...

  • in the first 20 seconds watch when joy is carrying asha to the end of the road how he got so unbalnced and dropped her so heavily on the pathway...I like to know if asha really got hurt and cursed joy for being such a gentleman...?

  • What a great film.

  • WOW,magic of Shanker Jaikishan.Thanx4posting.

  • Any Indian goin to Japan will definitely remember this song.

  • i cant agree more with you!!! songs like yeh mumbai meri jaan and this one stick with a place in an Indians memory!!

  • This place was damn advance even 43 years back. Amazing!!!

  • my childhood song is still in my memory sung by rafi ,so musical

  • brings back the nostalgia of my child days as well. During early 60-s only way to listen to these songs was when they were blown over and over again in the Puja Pandals , particularly Durga Puja! As children our parents didn't take it kindly if we wanted to listen to radio channels like Bibdh Bharati.

  • Joy mukherjee is the uncle of RANI MUKHERJEE
